Vehicle description
I purchased this vehicle from the original owner earlier this year for the specific purpose of driving it from where I moved to (NC) back to where I moved from (upstate NY) to get my 5x8 enclosed trailer filled with my belongings and drive it back to NC. It is a fantastic vehicle but I no longer need it.
This Pilot EX-L is top of the line for 2005 except no navigation system. It has the factory tow package, heated leather seats/side mirrors, third row seating, and the upgraded 3.5L VTEC V6 which has plenty of power.
The bad: One of the tire pressure monitors occasionally will throw a check light, even though the pressures are OK. Does not impact vehicle function. This seems to be a known issue with these cars.
Drivers seat leather is a bit worn.
The good: Original owner purchased, serviced, and traded in this vehicle all at ONE dealer for 2005-2018: AutoNation Honda of West Knoxville, TN, which is where I bought it from earlier this year. Every single service record is documented in the CarFax (! ). The original owner kept meticulous care of this car and it shows. Excellent cosmetic condition overall New tires New alignment and balance New oil change + filter New cabin air filter New power steering pump New front swaybar bushings New front rotors New windshield sunshade Interior detailed in June 2018 Vehicle regularly washed and waxed Tow package: trans oil cooler; hitch wiring works perfect Heat and A/C work perfectly Heated seats work perfectly, as do the heated mirrors and rear defrost Zero known mechanical or electrical issues Including Thule roof rack towers at no cost
This car drives like it has 50,000 miles. These Pilots are known to go over 500K with normal maintenance. It is a solid example of Honda"s golden era of quality. It is fully serviced, ready to go, and I"d have no reservations driving it across the country. If the vehicle fit my lifestyle better, I would keep it, but as I said I only bought it in order to move my trailer + things more cheaply than renting a UHaul or paying a shipping company, etc. Just looking to recoup what I put into it, plus or minus.
Ask any questions you may have. Thanks for looking!
