Vehicle description
Vehicle Details * * passenger seat has a tear on the edge* * * mileage will increase as I drive it and it is for sale locally so auction could be ended at any time* * 2005 Ford F250 XL 2wd 5.4L V8. 116k miles. I bought this truck last year to occasionally pull my skidloader/equipment(only towed it around 6 times). I'm going to be ordering a new truck so I'm going to try and sell this one before the snow starts flying. Although truck seems to pull 14k pounds decent, it is a little underpowered for my liking. I would allow potential buyer to tow a loaded trailer to get a good feel for the truck. After I purchased it, I began replacing normal wear items for a 15yo truck. I replaced over $2k in parts(many of which were OEM Ford parts). Things I replaced(but not limited to), all calipers, parking brakes, shocks, all wheel bearings, fuel tank vapor canister, drivers seat bottom, brake controller/plug, map sensor, fuel pump driver module, throttle body, 02 sensors, air filter casing/tube, spare tire winch, among many other misc things. Cruise and AC work fine. Does not have power locks/windows. Truck has a slight miss at idle but revs out and shifts great under a load. Original owner told me that cam phasers were replaced but I have no way to verify that. Does not smoke or burn oil. This is my second 5.4L that has a slight miss at idle that dealer could not diagnose. Starts right up even after sitting for several weeks at a time. The front of transmission bell housing is wet but I don't think that it is ever enough to even drip(rear main engine seal?). Otherwise, no signs of leaks. No rust to speak of other than a quarter size hole on the bottom of drivers side cab corner which is only seen when looking underneath. The truck originally had a light on top of the cab so they put globs of sealer on the holes. Front suspension appears tight and drives straight. Located in Lerna, IL. Cash payment w/in 7 days please.
