Vehicle description

About this vehicle This 2005 Ford Excursion is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle runs great. Seller"s Notes Vehicle will not be released until payment is cleared. Vehicle Details 2005 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 2WD with the 6.0L Powerstroke Diesel. Features Auto, Front and rear Heat/Air with front auto climate control, factory DVD player with 3 headphones and remote control, quad captain’s chairs, black/tan leather interior, removable 3rd row seat, seating for 7. This Expedition is in excellent condition The body has no rust or rot. The truck runs and drives excellent. Interior is in excellent condition. There are no rips, tears or holes in the upholstery. Carpet is in very good condition. Comes with a both black and tan floor mats for the passenger area and a tan cargo mat for the rear cargo area. I buy and refurbish diesel pickups from the mid 90’s thru the mid 2000’s. I purchased this rare SUV at auction because the body and interior were in such good condition. Work I have done or have had done: The Excursion has 4 brand new Hankook Dynapro HT tires. The motor has been rebuilt from the top of the block up including new heads, ARP studs, oil cooler, glow plugs, glow plug harness, Motorcraft engine harness, high pressure oil pump, EGR cooler, alternator, NEW ‘03’ style Honeywell factory turbo with correct base plate, Sinister Fuel Injector Control Module, Mishimoto coolant filtration system, Mishimoto aluminum degas bottle, batteries and aluminum charge air cooler tubes. The engine rebuild was performed by St. James Diesel. The rebuild was to factory performance levels, not race levels. I don’t race or hot rod, but I do upgrade certain known weaknesses with better products when I refurbish these. This engine has the stock tune. With this rebuild, the engine does and will show a P0487 code for EGR throttle body. This engine does not nor ever did have a throttle body in the intake horn and the code is irrelevant. (All ‘05 Excursions had ‘04 Powerstroke engines. Some ‘04 Powerstrokes like this one had dummy plugs for the throttle body after it was removed form the engine design after ‘03. Per EPA rules, the P0487 codes cannot be turned off by a tuner. You can clear the code but it will return next key cycle.) The memory sets module does not work. It’s a known issue with this era Super Duty Excursion. It is no longer available and any used one is likely to also be bad or go bad soon. It controls memory sest, power seat, power adjustable pedals and heated seats. The module has been bypassed and a new 12V fused power circuit was added for the power seat functions. As such, memory seat, heated seat and power adjustable pedal functions do NOT work. ALL other factory features and functions on this truck work as they should. The rear axle had a slight weep in the input shaft seal. It’s nothing to worry about and not worth addressing. It does not leave a puddle or drip. The factory jack is missing so a Craftsman trolley jack with case is in the rear cargo area and part of the vehicle. The original unused Pirelli spare is in the vehicle. I would have absolutely no reservations about driving this vehicle anywhere. This is a rare vehicle that I have more money in than I am selling it for so I’m not likely to come down in price. I don’t believe in hiding issues or half-ass fixes so when I dug into this, I made things right and kept going. For the price, this is one hell of a vehicle and will serve the next owner extremely well. Images Exterior Interior Engine Created on the Motors app
