Up for your bid is my 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser convertible. It runs and drives excellent. Located in Central Texas about 30 miles south of Austin. Clear and clean Texas title in my name. Buy it Now is $4500 or best offer. Not willing to negotiate very much.
This is my own personal car. I drive it at least a couple of times a week. The major things you need to know is it runs and drives very good and has current tags and passed inspection. You could drive it home anywhere. The top works great. No leaks of any type. No over heating and AC works good. Very reliable.
I recently had a lot of maintenance done on the car. It has a new cylinder head, timing belt, water pump and tuned and fluids changed. Has a new battery and alternator too. Runs great now and very dependable. New front brakes and rotors too.
Body has numerous minor paint chips, dents and dings and flaws. Looks very good from several feet away but far from perfect. Has a dent on drivers rear corner. Front urethane nose looks like it was repaired on the mounting tabs on the front driver"s side and got tore again. Probably from bumping into to curbs while parking. Everything is still very solid and is not going to fly off or anything like that.
Interior is pretty nice over all. It does have some wear and tear and stains but still very descent. Dash top is perfect with no cracks. All glass good and all options work. Power top works very easy and works like it should. Top has some wear and heat warping but no leaks and is very easy to operate. Radio is factory original. Works fine just missing the volume knob.
Wheels and tires are 16" aftermarket Enkie rims. Tires have fair and even tread. Was told buy the previous owner they spent $2000 alone on this rims and tires. Not sure if true or not. Car does handle pretty good too with this combo and makes car look more aggressive and cool. I do not believe the car has any other mods to the drivetrain or suspension. Everything is stock and unaltered.
Only issues i want to point out is that the front brakes squeak and the engine has a sometime noticeable vibration at idle. The front brakes were squeaking so i installed new pads with that coating to prevent squeaks as well as new brake rotors. Drove perfect and church-mouse quiet for two days then the squeak came back. All PT Cruisers are kind of a little buzzy and vibrates at idle. This one sometimes is fine but sometimes is more noticeable. With the AC on and at a stop in traffic it can be worse and more noticeable. I believe it"s the center engine mount needs replacing. I can"t believe with all the work i had done on the car that nobody ever changed it. I have grown to be accustomed to it. I just thought i better point that out. It is cheap part to buy but not much fun to replace. I just run around with it like it is just fine.
Over all it"s a very cool and sharp looking car. The drivetrain is in great shape and reliable and good the go. The cosmetics are typical with some wear and tear. Everything works like it should and it drives good. Price is $4500 not very negotiable. Can be driven home anywhere. Full payment due within a week. Once paid for you can have up to 30 days to arrange pickup.
