THE NOT-SO-GOOD : The convertible top. .the safety switch (located in the trunk) is being "funny". .sometimes the top will lower and raise as it should; sometimes you may have to do it manually. If I were keeping the car; I would bypass the switch altogether. Valve covers are leaking oil. .common problem that causes very miniscule drops of oil to fall onto the exhaust manifolds, resulting in a slight puff of smoke under the hood while the engine is warming up. Minor scuffs, scratches, swirls, and door dings as typical with any 15 year old daily-driven vehicle Headlight assemblies are cloudy and need to be polished/refurbished The top lip of the rear bumper, and windshield trim have sun-damage to the clearcoat that will need to be corrected or repainted (previous owner was in FL) Minor scuffs to the center console paint Leather seats show wear but are free from splits, rips, tears Ash tray and cup holder both stick - sometimes they pop open, sometimes they don"t Hood support strut lost its seal and will not hold the hood open unless the strut tab is locked in the maintenance position Previous owner used adhesive on the driver"s door speaker cover to reattach it to the door panel Heat/AC knobs split in half at some point and were repaired with adhesive Dash panels need to be tightened up - there"s a small 1/8" gap between the upper and lower pieces around the steering column The gauge bezel is cracked just above the steering column Mesh storage pockets are starting to sag Alarm siren has been removed due to the internal battery dying and the resulting 3am honking, as well as to help reduce the parasitic draw on the vehicle"s battery - alarm still functions properly There are scratches and chips to the clearcoat on all four wheels, and very minor curb rash on the driver"s side front wheel This car is 15-years old and was a daily-driver. .please take that into consideration
ABOUT THIS CAR : My father purchased this vehicle roughly 4 or 5 years ago and it was his daily driver. I purchased it from him and it"s been parked in my garage since. I do have a clean SC title for the vehicle, but the car was never registered or insured in SC, i.e. I bought it, drove it home, titled it with SC, and parked it. This car is sitting in my garage and needs a new owner who can appreciate the experience of driving with the top down. .I am not that owner; I prefer hard-top vehicles. .which is why I"m offering it up for sale. Is this a pampered, trailered showroom car, ready for the next car show? No. .it was a daily driver and it shows. Can this car become a local car show contender? Possibly. .it needs a good cleaning, paint restoration, and some love and attention. Is this car ready for top-down cruising or a road trip? Yes, most definitely. The included pictures are not photoshopped or edited, nor were there any filters or Instagram-worthy backdrops used when taking the pictures. I am not trying to glorify the car or hide it"s cosmetic imperfections. Overall, it is a very clean and reliable car with very minor cosmetic issues that can be easily corrected by any DIYer, or as I call it. .it"s a drivable project. It drove from Sarasota, FL to Beaufort, SC in a torrential downpour with zero issues, and I trust that it would do it again.
