Hello Ebayers, up for sale is my project BMW 645 coupe that needs work to make it the original roadster it was. The last ebayer that "won" this No Reserve Auction had no money to fund the transaction so please make sure you have money in place according to the auction stipulations so that you can get this fine car! To begin with I acquired this car for my son to work on with him, from one of my friends who is a mechanic, and initially that mechanic friend was going to do al the work on the car, but because of a job change he was unable to do any work on the car due to time constraints and other projects hew was engaged in. I towed the vehicle to another friends shop and there it has sat for a year and a half, due to other projects I have and the financial commitment it will need to get the work done right. The vehicle has a very nice body on it and really no dents and no rust on it at all. The suspension, braking systems and all electronics, and accessories work as they should but the main area of overhaul will be the engine. The engine does run and runs very rough with multiple engine misfires, codes, and the transmission does shift all the gears but due to the engine misfires it accelerates sometimes with tremendous acceleration and sometimes with erratic acceleration. The engine and transmission does not leak anything and there are no engine knocks, or smoke coming out of the exhaust and there is no overheating taking place. My intention was to start fresh with a junk yard engine and transmission which could be gotten for as little as $1500.00 or less on ebay or other junkyards and then you are ready to go with a fresh pwoer train, but I belive as well as a few mechanics I interviewed, that the engine can be worked on, with the right mechanic who knows what he is doing with this fine car. This car is a true project and or parts car and it will sell with NO TITLE and simply a bill of sale which in some states you can register a vehicle that is over 15 years old with simply a bill of sale. I also did a car fax on the car and it seems like it has a rebuilt history to it so it is being listed as a salvage, rebuilt or rebuildable here on ebay to conform with the ebay rules and regulations but when I ran the car history report there was no history of any damage to the vehicle that was reported. I will not attempt to get a title as that will be the new owner’s responsibility but there are many Title Agencies on the internet that can assist for a nominal fee to get a title if that is important to the new owner. This car has two choices for the new owner. Use it as an excellent donor car for body and mechanical parts as the nose alone is worth over $3000 from bone yards and the complete body is very clean and rust free and a tremendous amount of good parts, or restore the car and get a quality engine servicing with a BMW experienced mechanic and the car will be again an aggressive and tremendous road coupe like it was. The engine bay is very clean, the interior is clean and with a detail will look excellent, and the tires have 60-70% tread life left. This car is offered here in ebay with NO Reserve and the highest bidder will win her and originally sold for $69,000 when new so and you can get here on my auction for a fraction of its original and current retail price. All I ask is a $100.00 deposit and the balance to be paid within 3 days.
