Vehicle description
Selling my 2004 Volvo S60-R Design.
No issues, runs & drives smoothly! New: • water pump • timing belt + tensioner • sway bar links (rear) • front strut mounts • engine mounts x3 (upper, main lower, and transmission torque mount) • wheel speed sensor (front right) • spark plugs • windshield (had a chip & have free glass coverage, so had it replaced) • plastic wiper arm covers (cosmetic - they were faded from sun) • main serpentine belt + tensioner • front breaks & rotors (Power Stop brake upgrade kit. Stops VERY well. .) • power steering pump & seals • 2 new front tires (less than 2k miles on them) • alternator + voltage regulator + battery (bad batt. caused all 3 to fail. Had all replaced at once. $1800+) • new key (old one was beat up from prior owner) Plenty of life left. These go 300k, easy. My brother has a V70R with 387k. Lots of new stuff within the last few years, as you can see above. Note that this is the "R" edition of the S60 - not a standard S60. This is the highest trim level for the year. MSRP of $40,000. This is turboed from the factory and is pushing 320HP and 300 ft. lbs. of torque. Very fast car, and the turbo gives you that kick in the pants. Cosmetic issues: • Hood paint is really bad. See pics. Baked from the Florida sun. Probably want to get it re-done or wrapped. I got it quoted to have just the hood wrapped to match the car: $100 for wrap, and $110 in labor. Could have it done before pick-up if desired. • Other paint chipped here and there, but other than hood, in quite good condition for the year. A scratch on the front bumper, and a scratch on the rear-passenger-side-door (see pics). • Interior is very good condition, minus tear in driver"s seat. Leather in good shape though.
Mechanical disclosures: • Front struts were replaced with non-OEM (I.E., non-Volvo) front struts. Due to the Volvo 4C Chassis, these aftermarket ones are causing a CEL (check engine light). When scanning the car, this is the only code found. • This car is front-wheel drive. Driveshaft has been removed due to the shaft"s center-support bearing going. Drives MUCH more smoothly now that it"s FWD, and less maintenance! Old one was holding the car back as the center-bearing turning hard was leaching horsepower and I didn"t even realize. In Florida, I don"t need the AWD so I just opted to leave it out. Mechanic said it"s fine to drive FWD only, or can put new driveshaft in if you desire. Front wheels don"t break free even without AWD, and one less thing to worry about as it"s a real weak-spot on these Volvos apparently. I HAVE ALL SERVICE RECORDS AND RECEIPTS for the above, clean title in-hand (no lien), and full leather-bound original owners manual and documents.
