Vehicle description
As the title suggests, I am selling my 2004 Volkswagen Passat 4motion. It"s an amazing car in incredible condition, especially for it"s age and mileage. Pictures were taken 03JUN2018. More pictures are available upon request, but only 12 are free to list.

The good:
Car is very reliable. Does not drink any oil. The tires are virtually brand new and do well on dry, wet, or snow/ice. I spent a lot of time searching for a set of tires that would handle everything well. The transmission and rear diff oil were changed last fall. The interior is incredibly clean with no rips or tears in the black leather. The carpet is clean with only a couple of residual salt marks that could probably be shampooed out. Exterior has a couple of dings that you would expect from a used car, especially around the rear bumper. But there is no clear coat peeling and the paint is otherwise in excellent condition and it takes a wax very well. All lights, indicators, gauges, switches, etc work perfectly with the exceptions listed below.
The not-so-good:
The head gasket drips oil. This is a very common item with these engines that has NO effect on functionality, driveability, or even oil consumption over a long distance. However, I have purchased new gasket and it will either go to the new owner, or I will delete this portion of the ad if I get it replaced before the car sells. The passenger rear window does not roll down. There is a clunk in the driveline during extremely hard acceleration that I attribute to worn transmission/differential bushings. Does not affect driving at all. Rear speakers are non-functional (suspect they are blown).
Overall:
I had planned on keeping this car for a much longer period of time, but my inner redneck has been screaming for an SUV or truck since I bought this thing. I"ve owned it for about two years now and it has never let me down. I would get in it and drive it cross country and back without a care in the world. I wouldn"t sell it now, except I have to in order to help pay for the SUV I just bought. It"s a comfortable, safe, capable, fun car and the next owner will be very happy with it.
Completing the Sale: Non-refundable deposit due within 48 hours through PayPal, or the sale is null. If upon pickup, gross misrepresentation under the guidelines of Ebay"s policy can be shown, then I will refund the deposit. Full payment due within 7 days of the close of the sale. Cashier"s check, bank transfer, or cash in person for final payment. If you ship the vehicle without getting it inspected prior to shipper pickup, refunds are not eligible. No warranty is given or implied. While I do represent the vehicle as being in excellent condition, please bear in mind that this for the the age (14 years) and mileage (176,xxx). The car is not perfect, there are dings, light scratches, etc. that are to be expected with an old, high mileage vehicle. Just fewer than you might expect. Pickup in person or make the arrangements for delivery. I will work with the shipper, but the cost is yours to bear. Vehicle will not leave my possession until all payments clear the bank.
