Vehicle description
Decent condition 04 STI with pretty low miles. Drove it everyday until about 2 months ago, I bought a new truck and this is just taking up space. I bought it for nostalgia sake, I had one back in 2009 that a deer totaled, but as stated I really just don"t drive it.
It has a dual core mishimoto aluminum radiator, oversize mishimoto top mount intercool, cold air intake, and 3" turbo back exhaust. Has adjustable coilovers, car can be raised about another inch higher, or dropped to able 3/4 of an inch of bumper clearance to the road. Tuning was done via COBB access port, which comes with the car. The car was professionally tuned at TPG tuning in Blairsville PA, and is basically a stage 2 car, I just never trust off the shelf, preloaded base tunes. Brand new tires with about 500 miles on them. 18" wheels. tires are 245/40R18 Kelly HPs. Go pretty good in the snow, and wet/dry traction and handling is superb. Water pump and thermostat were done, along with timing components around 98k miles. Also has a sub in the back, and coaxial speakers in all 4 doors. I can remove the sub if its not wanted, its nothing special. didn"t factor it into the pricing.
The Bad : Missing spare tire, spare tire cover, and driver side trunk trim. The wing was removed by prior owner. The radiator fans quit working. So I fixed them and they went out again. So I have the fans ran to a toggle switch. No issues since. The car is throwing 2 check engine codes (pictures of code reader available) 1 is for the cooling fan circuit. 2 is for the down stream O2 sensor. The sensor was tuned out of the car, but we forgot to disable the dummy light for it with the tune.
Car is a PA R title, it received a passenger rear quarter panel, passed PA enhanced inspection and has been on the road for a couple years since. Has no drivability issues. It is PA state inspected until 5/18. Car is free and clear of loans.
All in all its a great little car, costs me about 48/mo for insurance (liability + comp incase I hit a deer) but I just don"t drive it or have a need. Car rips, tuned to 18 pounds, gets decent MPG. I average 22, but have gotten as high as 27 when I managed to keep the boost under 6 pounds for an entire tank. The DCCD control in these cars is great on snowy roads if you like to drift corners and goof off. And when the roads are really bad you can lock the power 50/50 and you have a ready made tank to get you home safely. Not a good first car due to the power, but a nice little work commuters/toy.
If you have any questions, or want more pictures let me know. Thanks for reading, and happy bidding. Item is for sale locally, and I reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time due to local sale of the car.
