Vehicle description
(Update: previous high bidder was a scammer, so it"s back for sale again. If you are new/zero feedback please message prior to bidding .) Selling my 2004 Forester, here"s the rundown: The Good: - Basically new battery - Pirelli tires, good tread left on them - Also includes 4 snow tires AND rims. Great tread left (several hundred dollars right here)
- runs like a champ (daily driver to work/around the state) - fog lamps, cruise control, lots of nice Subaru options. - new windshield, thanks to the fine rock flinging roads around here. - Well maintained, oil changes regular on the dot. Coils and spark plugs changed not too long ago. - Subaru AWD, snow is hardly even an inconvenience to it. - No cracking/peeling on the dashboard, etc. - roof rack, after market CD player - It’s a Subaru, they are great cars. I love it (and am only getting rid of it because my wife wants something with a 3 rd row). The Bad: - 2004 - A belt squeals for just a minute when first starting the car. Not sure what belt. - I think the front brakes are going to need replacing soon. - The driver’s side front window no longer goes down. I assume this is a window motor issue, but I am not sure. - The engine was replaced a long time ago. (This is why there is a mileage note in the history report. But, this might go in the good category, depending on your point of view). The Ugly: - The passenger side front fender was replaced, and is not quite the same color. - The front bumper & grill has some dings/cracks (but no structural/engine damage). - Rust. This baby has lived its life in New England. It’s got some rust. On the undercarriage, a bit above the rear wheels, around the gas nozzle, near the license plate lights. Nothing that affects function, but it’s there. Don’t think this is some sort of rust free miracle car. - The interior. Has been well sat on, some significant stains, has a lot of blemishes on the fabric. This is an old car. Look at the pictures, don’t expect some sort of beautiful, never driven car. But, it has a lot of life left, the engine has been well cared for, and should have a lot of miles left on it if it continues to be taken care of. As noted, I drive it all over, no qualms. If you have some elbow grease and need a good old car, this may be for you.
