2004 Mini Cooper available for immediate sale. This car has been meticulously maintained and many parts were replaced using factory replacements purchased from Pelican Parts. The odometer shows 155000 miles, but the engine had been replaced with one from a wrecked Mini with only 36000 miles. That engine had been purchased from LKQ parts. The clutch disc, throwout bearing, pressure plate had been installed at the same time the engine had been replaced. The flywheel had been machined, all axles replaced so, the bearings and CV boots are new. In December new shifting cables were installed. Many trim pieces were replaced throughout the time we owned the car. Tires are Bridgestones with only 7000 miles on them. Just a month ago a new battery had been installed. What is not working on the vehicle are TPMS sensors, but they cost over $1000 to replace them, which is not very inexpensive. The second item is that the engines check light comes on occasionally but especially during hot weather. The car computer is throwing out a code that indicates a "small evaporative leak". We replaced the fuel filler cap multiple times and it seems that the problem goes away only to return when the temperature goes up. Fuel economy is pretty good for a 5-speed manual gearbox. Full service performed last Friday with fresh oil, oil filter and new air filter. The car is in very good mechanical condition and it could be a great commuter or first car for high school students. The Interior is nice and clean. The upholstery is black/tan leather.
