Vehicle description
Hello and thank you for checking out my auction for my mom’s pristine condition 2004 Mazda Grand Touring Edition Rx-8. Here"s the run down on the car. The good- Original owner, new tires, California Car, very rare color and package. The bad- Slight damage on front right fender, an older lady than my mom backed her car into it in a parking lot, not a lot of damage but you can see a some work is needed to make that fender perfect. At 133k original miles on the engine and transmission the engine I believe is starting to lose compression as when its warm it’s hard to start, it will take many cranks to start. When cold, she fires right up. I don"t drive a manual often but I think the transmission is still in good condition however I would recommend the new owner to also do a clutch job since the engine will likely need to be rebuilt. Other than the small dent, the passenger side of the dash has a hairline crack running across the airbag part and the passenger side vanity mirror has been jerry rigged to stay in place with some tape. My mom loved this car for the last 14 years she owned it, she has kept extensive service records, always having the plugs and wires and coils changed ever 25k miles. This car also has a one of a kind set of rims that was matched to match the rotary symbol on the car and color of the car. I believe she still has the original sticker for the car and it was north of 36k in 2004. I require I deposit of $500 once you win the auction, and after that we can make arrangements to pick up the car. The buyer is solely responsible for picking up the car; I can store the car in its location at zip code 92881 for one month free of charge after the auction is over assuming the deposit has been paid. The remaining balance is to be paid cash upon pickup and inspection. Again, with this many miles I would not recommend trying to fly into so-cal and driving this car cross country unless you have a lot of time and are willing to wait for the car to cool down after you shut it off. If you have any questions please feel free to ask, good luck and God Bless! Also please check out my youtube videos of me driving the car today so you can see it start up and how it drives/accelerates in its current condition. $4500 is the start of this auction, if she sells for that I would be disappointed but that"s the minimum I can take for this vehicle.
