“For Auction. 2004 Land Rover Discovery II with 143747 miles. This is a one Owner vehicle. He leased it new and then bought it after the lease. I am selling for a customer of mine. I have been servicing this vehicle for over 10 years. I was tech at local Land Rover Dealer for over 10 years. After i opened my new shop i have been working on for the last 5 years. It recently had engine failure and is time to let it go. We would like it to go to a home that it will be brought back to life or repurposed maybe into off road vehicle. We put a new battery in last year January, New master cylinder as well. But since then had no real issues and was just oil changes Head Gaskets had been done approx 3 years ago. I drained some of the oil and found engine coolant in oil. It hits a certain spot and then stop. may be a failed rod. We did not diag extent of work needed so all answers on engine are in here. See below for more details.” |

I have been servicing this vehicle for over 10 years. I was tech at local Land Rover Dealer for over 10 years. After i opened my new shop "Partners In Performance Automotive Service and Repair in Naperville Il" i have been working on for the last 5 years since opening. It recently had engine failure and is time to let it go. We would like it to go to a home that it will be brought back to life or repurposed maybe into off road vehicle. I drained some of the oil and found engine coolant in oil. It hits a certain spot and then stop. may be a failed rod. We did not diag extent of work needed so all answers on engine are in here. Approx 4 to 5 years ago it had a lower mileage front diff installed and rebuilt Transfer case. The front sunroof i know does not work and assume the same for the rear but not sure. It has third row seats, I could not get drivers rear most seat back to come up so may need lubricating or cable it disconnected. Passenger jump seat deployed no issues. Tires are about %50 percent worn. Has clean Illinois title. Original window sticker. Has rust on frame. Spots that are actually bad are on rear most where frame hits the rear bumper support. There is one rust spot on body at top of passenger side A pillar. See Photos. Driver seat has normal wear for mileage and mainly on the outside portion from in and out. Owner did not really transport passengers so rest of interior is in great shape. The headliner is coming down a bit. Has one original key and some generic others. The reserve is really fair i believe and could sell the two rear jump seats for almost half of reserve s my guess. Also has CD changer under seat factory fit. But hate to see this one get parted out. Please feel free to message with any questions and will answer when i get a free moment. Thanks, James
