First: This is a beautiful car, a dream to drive and earns respect and attention everywhere it"s driven. And the Gallardo is one of the best exotic cars regarding affordability and reliability.
Let"s begin with upgrades and maintenance:
- New Kevlar ECT Clutch with upgraded new style release bearing along with new clutch position sensor. (less than 500 miles) Therefore 98% remaining on updated clutch.
- In tandem with the new clutch, all fluids were replaced including E-Gear flush, Transmission oil replaced with Redline Oil along with filter maintenance, Engine Oil service with Royal Purple synthetic oil and a complete power steering oil flush.
- New Made in USA AGM battery. Transferable full replacement warranty.
- New Pirelli P Zero tires mounted on powder coated factory forged wheels.
- AC serviced. (AC compressor new 2 years ago)
- New Oil Pump Shaft WITH Gear Assembly Drive. (This is major upgrade. making this car one of the best in the country. Do not buy a used Gallardo without this performed. Will save you $12-17K)
- Made in USA Fabspeed exhaust. The sound is fantastic! The octave is quite tame when driven conservatively yet the sound translates into an unmistaken exotic supercar when driven spiritedly! (Factory exhaust available and included.) - Also Integrated Beltronics Radar detector and front and rear Laser Jammer.
Interior:
- The first and consistent comment passengers exclaim when they sit in the car is the aroma. It"s an extremely pleasant sensory experience. The interior features a hand selected black leather appointed interior. It remains flawless and is hand conditioned with fine oils often. - Headliner is wrapped in soft Alcantara. Exterior:
- Finished in bright Yellow. ("life is too short to drive a car the color of pavement" -Lambo enthusiast from Lambo forum.)
- I wanted Yellow and love it. It draws attention and I receive endless requests for photos to be taken. It certainly earns respect.
- The bonnet, mirrors and front bumper is protected with a clear invisi-shield paint protection film. No paint chips! Upgrades:
- The car has no major performance enhancements such as turbos, ECU chip etc.
HOWEVER: I had the driving experience elevated by converting the car similar to the Gallardo Balboni Edition. (Google it. Très cool!)
This has completely changed the drivability (my wife can easily drive it) and the driving characteristics of the car. Eg. Very light steering, car is faster, easier to drive in parking lots, extended clutch life, car now weighs less than 3000lbs.
This is an ULTIMATE upgrade for this vintage of Gallardo. Allow me to conclude with that I am extremely pleased with the car and it is the best car I"ve ever owned. (I"m buying another except convertible. Wife rules!)
Furthermore, the Gallardo was one of the most successful cars in Lamborghini history regarding sales and is an excellent car! It is extremely reliable and I"ve seen some Gallardos with well over 100K miles!
