Vehicle description
Used truck perfect for work use or with a little fixing up this is an ideal mechanic"s special that can be a great daily driver. I have put the last 30,000 miles on this great truck (since 2014) with very little maintenance issues. To date the truck has not had a reported accident and I am the fourth owner. The cosmetic body damage on the passenger side IS from the gate to my driveway which the wind blew open into me one day while pulling in too fast after a hot date. I didn"t call the cops on myself or report the damage to my insurance since it was caused by my own driveway gate. I have a bunch more photos, a carfax showing the first 3 owners histories and I am happy to post answers to any questions that you may have. I have sold one pickup on ebay a few years back and had a positive experience - I would like to repeat that here and now.
The outside: The truck has obvious body damage from my gate - along with the typical rust on the rocker panels. I am a woodworker and have been unable to fold the tailgate down for a few years and assume it to be binded in some way from me carrying a load of 10 foot lumber with it folded down at one point. The pictures do a good job of representing the condition - with a little bodywork and some touchup this could be a beauty again. I live near a recycling plant so every vehicle on my street has had their metal hubcaps removed. The truck has a bedliner but one missing railcap on the driver"s side. The truck has a hitch and the lights and towing mode do work as intended. One of the headlights is out.
The inside: Very clean interior aside from one (repaired in 2007) tear (pointed at in photos) on driver seat from sliding into the truck, the owner"s manual is included and has the original cover, all functions work inside aside from the airbags. The airbag module is stored under the front passenger seat and the wiring harness has been damaged from the front passenger seat sliding back and fourth - this issue was present when I purchased the truck in 2014 for $12,000. Without replacing or repairing that harness the truck will continue to have no airbags. The engine light comes on for the airbags and brakes. The interior plastic handle (pointed at in photos) on the (driver"s side that opens the rear passenger"s door) has broken. Truck has cloth seats, electric mirrors and the premium sound system with the nice bose speakers. The factory 6 Disc CD changer works great and also features an FM modulator for plugging an iphone headphone cable right in to use as an Auxilary - for playing spotify. Truck has rubber floor mats.
The Brakes: This winter I replaced the rotors all around, I was able to install new pads on the rear of the truck but not yet on the front. The (4) bleeder screws on the caliper"s are slightly damaged and will need to be replaced. The pads on the front of the truck should be installed. I was unable to do the front pads because (1) of the passenger side"s (T55 torx) caliper mounting bolts was stripped from a previous owner"s repairs. If you can get that bolt out with an impact wrench or by filing a flat for large flathead screwdriver - finishing the front brake pad install, bleeding the brake system and readjusting the parking brake should get you on the road again. Until the brake system is given attention by the new buyer, the truck is not driveable. Please bear this in mind when coming to pickup your purchase - you should tow this home.
The mechanics: Passed emissions last year, Solid driving performance for all systems aside from the brakes and airbags. Runs well on regular gas with seasonal oil changes.
The truck is available here as a final sale and would make the right person who can handle the largely cosmetic body work needed really happy. You can visually look at the truck during the auction"s duration and I am more than happy to provide any additional detail, photos and answer any questions you have. The sooner you ask questions the better. I have accurately described what I know about the truck. The title is clear and payment in full from the auction is due per the terms of the auction within (3days of closing) - no exceptions tolerated. I will not arrange shipment of the vehicle to you from it"s location near Louisville Kentucky - but that should be an easy thing to figure out if you do not have a trailer already. I need the vehicle to be removed from its location - at the same time the payment for the auction is due (within 3days of closing). Truck is currently located on a videotaped car lot.
Key Words: Ram, Tundra, T100, Tacoma, Raptor, Colorado, Hybrid, Diesel, Gasoline, F150, Ford, Dodge, Chevy, Silverado, Dually, Work Truck, Mechanic"s Special.
