Vehicle description
2004- New Mexico/Nevada Chevy Avalanche 2500 8.1 liter engine 4X4.
I bought this Avalanche in New Mexico in October 2019 and drove it back to New Jersey. According to the New Mexico owner, he purchased it from Nevada. The Nevada guy did all the "lifting" work. I drove the truck for about a year with no issues. I"m selling it because, well, it"s a younger man"s truck. I only put like seven thousand miles on it since October 2019. Some of the photos are from the New Mexico listing. This truck had no rust when I bought it. I do mean "no rust". Now, it has a little surface rust from Jersey. Very little. Some sandpaper and black paint and it"s good to go.
I don"t know much about this stuff, but the truck"s got. . .I believe it"s a 9.5 inch FTS lift, 37 inch tires, Flashpaq tuner so speedo is dead on. Electric steps. Dual FTS piggyback shocks on front. Bilstein piggyback on rear. Suspension airbags with on board compressor. Viper alarm with remote start. Kenwood radio with Bose sound system. All LED lighting. LED interior including dash lights. Tow mirrors. Custom seat covers over leather seats in very good condition. Whatever a Magnaflow catback is. Push bumper with light bar. A/C works good. Tinted windows. WeatherTech floor mats all around.
Sometimes, the passenger electric step doesn"t work. The rear airbag suspension system has a slow leak. I believe one of the plastic hose connections need to be cleaned and reconnected. The tires are okay, but will need to be replaced sooner than later. I never used the viper electric start. No spare tire. A 37 inch tire doesn"t fit under the truck bed. Hood spring. .something happened to it. Hood won"t stay up too good. Not a problem, a stick works good. Maybe it just "I don"t know", came off the hinge.
Make no mistake, this is "a truck". It"s a beast. If, you"re only looking to pick-up garden mulch and some two by fours, this isn"t your truck. But, if you wanna drag a 12,000 pound "thing" through the mud, then, this is what you looking for.
I used the truck once to bring my 6500 pound travel trailer to Daytona 500, 1100 mile drive. Didn"t even feel like I was pulling something. I had a step down drop hitch and Equal-i-zer trailer sway bar. I"m no expert, but a lifted truck might/could have their own challenges when pulling a travel trailer or boat on long distances. I didn"t have a problem, but, it"s something to keep in mind. Do your homework.
Over the Holiday weekend, I"ll post a few more photos. Back in "19 I believe I paid $12,500. And, a three days drive back to Jersey.
I don"t know if I could put my phone number here. I gotta check with Ebay. Anyway, let me list it and see if there"s any interest in this beast of a truck. Jim.
