This Intimidator-themed car has been authenticated by the GM Heritage Center as number 2425 out of 4000 Dale Earnhardt, Sr. Intimidator SS models built for the 2004 Chevrolet model year. GM introduced this street-version of NASCAR"s 6th generation Monte Carlo in 2002, but in 2004 the supercharger was added in this limited production model of only 4,000 units. This car is not a daily driver and is driven to shows only. This Intimidator is painted with brilliant black with the Monte Carlo and Chevrolet badge in red on the rear deck, with silver Intimidator script on the back followed by a red SS. Silver Intimidator script also appears on the lower sides behind the doors, again followed by the red SS. A silver Intimidator windshield banner graces the upper windshield. Paint is original and in excellent condition. Engine has been kept detailed and in excellent maintained order. Magnetic number 3"s for shows and other automotive functions. The black leather interior is in excellent condition. The headrests have embroidered Dale Earnhardt, Sr. logos on both front seat headrests. Matching custom floor mats for front and rear also sport the logo. Door panels, headliner, dash and steering wheel are in like-new condition. A copy of Dale Earnhardt Sr."s autograph appears in the gauge below the speedometer. Operating tilt/sliding sunroof. All major components (engine, transmission, etc.) are in excellent maintained working order. Cold a/c, all power equipment operates as it should. Supercharger has been maintained and fluid changed regularly. This is a completely trouble-free car that is fun and easy to drive. A (climate-controlled) garage-kept vehicle with just over 50,000 babied miles, this is a winning show car and unique collector car that draws crowds at any car event. This car is a must for any NASCAR enthusiast, especially if you are a Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fan. I find that there are plenty of 2002 models around, but this 2004 is very rare. Be careful of "copycats," as there appears to be Monte Carlos that are rebadged as SS or Intimidators. This is an authentic SS Intimidator.
