2005 BMW M3 Black on Black coupe with 6 Speed and 19inWheels A great find with 82,000+ miles I bought this car in the fall as a winter project, it isinsured but I never registered it. I was waiting until it was done and thencovid hit and DMV is still closed in NJ. Car had issues when bought it, checkengine light was on and was not shifting in all gears. Replaced clutch with newsachs clutch, it drives excellent now flywheel was in good shape, just took it on a 50 mile drive with adealer tag I borrowed just to get the car some exercise(No, i am not a car dealer). AC blows cold, windows, seats, mirrors etc all working. My family owns a muffler shop and we do rebuilds all thetime. I found this car in NJ and it was neglected and this killed me, these areexcellent cars and highly desired especially manual coupes. This was intendedto be a keeper but we just acquired a 993 and need the money to fund that car. Some joker added aftermarket lights and they were wired likea 5 year old did it, had to rewire them, everything now works. Check enginelight was evap code, same joker who wired car drilled a whole into charcoalcanister and it was leaking, it has since been replaced and no codes now appear.Also replace ps front wheel bearing. Brake pads and rotors are in good shapewith little wear on pads. OEM Head Unit replaced with a modernradio, Bluetooth etc. Front undershields were missing so we bought OEM. There are a lot of other little things done to the car sinceI own it and I estimate about 30 hours and 3k in parts in last 6 months to getthis back to road worthy. Had some crappy muffler so we made a new exhaust (2 resonators),I honestly don’t like the way it sounds but some people do. Has been stored in my garage since I own it and not seen anyrain I have decided to sell as I just bought a 993 coupe and willbe putting resources toward that. My plan was to keep this car as an investment,finish and just store it but plans change. There is still work to be done What it needs: · Strut Brace, is broken but both mounts are therebut bar broken (see underhood pic, mounts are there, bar in trunk) · Trunk Lid M3 Badge missing · Rear view mirror missing · Only 1 key however button not working to lock/unlock · Some paint work, prior repair on ps quarter isnot what I would consider great, this car deserves better, ds rocker needs asand and paint, bumpers are ill fitting (slightly). Carfax show previousaccident. Small dent in ds quarter, chips on ds door by handle. Rear and roof look like they were painted but again,not to my standards, I would have done some paint work but not the whole car. Trunck is missing some body clips but all peices are there. · Doors, hood and trunk all fit well. Side rear windowtrim seems to have rotted away at some point(see pics). · 2 rear tires, I replaced fronts since they werenot holding air, this car has the 19in factory wheels · Wheels could use a refinish, some rashing · Try and find an E46 Coupe with a manual and lessthan 100k miles, they are climbing in price. I have, there are none for lessthan 25k We tried to show everything we know. Maintence light just came on (see pic) so we will be doing a service this week.
