Vehicle description
I bought the car 6-10-16 with 86,443 miles on it. when I got the car it was immaculate. the previous owner told me that they had had some hail damage and the paint was new. when I bought the car it had 2 problems. some of the instrument cluster was not lighting up and the radio needed to be reset almost every time you restart the car because it goes into safe mode. I sent the cluster out and had that repaired. there have been no more problems with that. at 88,903 I had the car serviced by the local audi mechanic. he did dsg transmission service/wheel bearing and cv boot/fuel filter and halidex service. he checked the radio and said there is something wrong with the radio itself that is not allowing it to communicate properly with the car. his recommendation was to put an aftermarket radio in it - that way i"d have Bluetooth and whatever other modern capabilities are. but I don"t use any of that and If I did that I would lose the 6-disc changer so I sent the radio out for repair. it came back as nothing wrong with it. I went to the audi dealership to see if they could fix the radio and they said it would be $165 an hour to diagnose the problem and he recommended just getting an aftermarket radio. but again, I still use cd"s so I didn"t want to do that. the radio and cd player works fine. it"s just an annoyance to have to reset it all the time. at this point I knew I was going to be selling the car and figured 95% of the population would rather just have an aftermarket radio anyway since i"m one of the last people left who still use cd"s and don"t care about bluetooth. about 3 months into my ownership the paint started peeling away on the hood and roof of the car. then I watched as some teenagers thought it would be really funny to line up their rear bumper with my car as it was parked in a parking lot and back into it putting a dent right behind the drivers door. this summer the air conditioning compressor went out on the car. I bought a kit to replace it myself but since i"m selling the car decided not to do it. i"ll include the kit with the car. as i"m writing this I realize it"s time to do the oil change again. the only other problem I can think of is that the handle on the glove box fell off. the glove box still works it just doesn"t have a handle. looks like a pretty easy fix. i"m listing everything bad because i don"t want to hide anything. i"m not your typical used car seller. bottom line is this is a very nice car but it has a few issues that need to be attended to. somebody is going to get a good deal and be very happy that they bought this car. this is a true auction. i"m not putting a reserve price. high bidder wins! feel free to ask me any questions and if you want certain pictures I will try. but i"m not very good with technology. it took me an entire day just to figure out how to get these pictures on this listing.
