Vehicle description
This Avant is heavily modified, mostly JHM or from the JHM website. I pulled the engine/transmission in order to do all the work, including a new clutch and flywheel, JHM cam adjusters, timing chain kit including all of the adjusters and guides, all engine sensors (O2, knock, temp, cam, crank, oil), spark plugs, JHM intake spacers, APR cold air intake, complete exhaust manifolds back (Fast Intentions from JHM website $3,500 no cats on the car, got the resonated mid pipes for daily drivability), JHM tune, all new front control arms w/balljoints and outer tie rods (heavy duty from JHM website), Vogtland adjustable suspension all around (car sits very low but can be adjusted to suit), Hotchkis front and rear anti sway bars, polyurethane motor mounts including snub, JHM automatic belt tensioner kit, JHM short shifter with stainless weighted shift knob (visible in pic, this shifter is unbelievable!), Pioneer AVH4200NEX (visible in pic), Hart drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads. I removed sandblasted and then added welds to the front suspension subframe to stiffen and then repainted before reinstalling with solid mounts (JHM), I also installed ECS stainless braided brake hoses (the S4 already had way more braking power than it needs). I completely cleaned the engine bay and sandblasted/painted all the brackets (there are many) before reassy, this car is fast and sounds incredible, I built it to be a sleeper and that’s exactly what it is, the sound and lowered stance are the only things that give a hint as to what the car really is, I even kept the stock wheels! I bought this car with 106,000 miles on it and did all the work before I started driving it, it now has 121,848. No CEL’s and everything works including the a/c and cruise.
I recently added an Opt7 Fluxbeam X fog lamp conversion, they are an awesome addition to the factory HID headlamps!
