Vehicle description
Please read before purchase, This car needs work! So someone hit buy it now without reading my description and totally messed up my sale. Anyway, I"m readjusting and coming all the way down to $1400 so here ya go.
This was my daily driver, I absolutely love this car, I"m getting rid of it because I made a big mistake, this car was running like a dream before I screwed up. I had a check engine light come on about a month ago, so I connected the VAGCOM OBD analyzer and it gave me some areas to check, one of them was the #3 injector pump, I removed, disassembled, cleaned then reassembled and the moment that I started the engine I had white smoke come out of the tailpipe. I was confused at what I was seeing because all I did was clean it and put it back in. Well it turns out I had put 1 part in incorrectly and it dumped fuel into the cylinder, a compression test was done and confirmed that it bent the #3 connecting rod going to the piston. I would normally fix something like this myself but I have recently had shoulder surgery and it would be quite sometime before I would be able to do a job like this. So, I am selling my car, I know these TDI"s are quite sought after because of how long the motors run and let me tell you I was getting a solid 45mpg before this incident. This car had a full service about 40,000 miles ago so it will be good for at least another 40,000 or more. . . . .after the connecting rod is replaced of course. My name is Robert White and I can be texted at (850)688-8420 if you have any questions that need answering.I received a phone call from an interested buyer and he helped me realize my price was just too high, I"m taking $600.00 off to be more realistic. I love my Jetta but I know that it"s not a simple fix, first person with the cash and its their"s, have a good one.
