Vehicle description
2003 Beetle Convertible - Baby Blue
5-Speed Manual, Leather Interior, Top of the line GLX model. Loaded.
This was our daily driver until two weeks ago when the exhaust pipe separated (after the catalytic converter, I think - see photo). The car ran fine, but developed a wheel shimmy right before the exhaust pipe went. We decided to sell it instead of repairing. The motor runs well. Brakes are fine. A/C etc. work. Door locks need work. The alarm sets, but the drivers door stays unlocked.
Interior cosmetics are so-so. There is kid transporter damage with stickers and misc. scuffs. Leather seats are in very good condition. The convertible top has the famous rear window separation. We have not had the top down in a few years. No guarantees on its function. One of the convertible cover flaps broke off long ago, but the top continued to go up/down after that.
Being sold as is, where is. Buy it for parts or to repair and enjoy. It is a beautiful looking car and gets thumbs up everywhere.
