Vehicle Details Toyota Tacoma. 2003. This little thing always starts. and gets our stuff to and from the store. The little 4 cylinder motor asks for very little as i just keep up on oil changes. it has asked for nothing more. runs smooth. The transmission shifts great. the clutch works fine. no slipping. it does grab a little past half way as you lift it from the floor. The 4x4 works great. It has no issue switching into each selection. The vehicle drives strong up hills. I recently placed a hitch onto the back of the truck. The truck had a ball on the bumper before. I have the bumper to place back onto the vehicle and also the spare tire. The underside of the truck is physically solid with some rust here and there. i was told by mechanics it is solid though. The body seems in pretty good shape. A couple of tiny dings and some scratches in the paint here and there. The drivers door has some lower scratches that when you look closely. you can see. When i bought it. it had a big dent on the right side of the bed. I had the bed replaced. and it resulted in the vehicle being a salvage title as the dealership that originally found it for me said they could not find one with the 4 cylinder. 5 speed. 4x4. extended cab and lower mileage at the time. except for this truck. The truck has a small almost hard to notice dent on the roof in the back about a foot to the left of the upper brake light. It has a fairly shiny look to the the vehicle. The hood has some blemishes in the paint near the front edge of the hood due to the rock chips. and some rock chips on the lower parts of the doors. The bed i had replaced on the truck was from a 1996 model. because i considered removing the flares from the truck. . so the back has no flares. The truck steers strait. The vehicle is having a new steering rack and pinion put on tomorrow since the old one dripped a little. so it is being replaced with new tie rods. . i would say that the lights seem to work great around the truck . interior lights all work fine. The windshield has no cracks. The bumpers have no dings on them. I will again have the rear bumper re-put back onto the truck. plus put the spare back on as well. The tailgate works well. . the top of the tailgate has a small dent that is noticeable on the top right side of the tailgate as you walk up to the back. The bed seems solid. as i purchased it from a rust free state. The underside of the truck seems solid. the truck as a whole seems like it has been well maintained even prior to me. The interior has some wear on the edge of the center armrest. There are a couple of small marks in the seat of the drivers side. It seems like a drop of glue or something got onto them. But otherwise. they look decent. The dashboard has some scuffs on the passenger side near the glove box. the radio is a cd and cassette. The cd works well. . but the button to eject the cd is pushed in a little farther than its supposed to be. it still ejects the cd. The radio sounds great as a whole. I have not tried the cassette for its functionality. The air conditioning functions well. The heat is good. The truck has 112,000 miles. The engine sounds great. the exhaust has a new rear section to it. but otherwise the rest of the system seems to be the one that came on with the truck. The tires seem to have plenty of tread in the front (3rd to the last picture). the rear . the new owner should replace because they are very low on tread (second last picture). Anybody that should feel the need to drive and inspect the vehicle is welcome to come by and bring a mechanic. and take it for a long drive. The truck over all seems in pretty good shape. not a perfect interior or exterior. but it looks good to me. It is a dependable. nice condition truck for its year. if your looking for a perfect truck. this is not for you. if your looking for a great truck. it ranks pretty high in my opinion.
