Vehicle description
I am selling my beloved Subaru WRX after owning it for 11 years! After purchasing my motorcycle I rarely drive my car, so it"s time to pass it on. It"s a great car. I"ve kept it in great mechanical condition. Oil change every 3-5k miles. If I changed at 5k I used synthetic. I"ve had all minor and major services done (including timing belt!) and have records for everything. The mileage is relatively low for it"s age, only 127,500.
I"m very straight forward, it"s the way I like to do business. Everything I know about the car will be included here. The good and the bad.
The Good
- Clean title, no accidents (CarFax Included)
- Private vehicle, only 2 owners over it"s life (I have owned for the majority, 11 years)
- Looks good inside and out. The car performs and looks great.
- No aftermarket modifications to the car, ever. Everything is stock. This is rare for Subaru WRXs.
- Tires have ~20k miles left
- Brakes have ~50% left
- New battery
Recent Maintenance
125k - Replaced Radiator, Thermostat, Upper Radiator Hose
120k - Major Service, New Battery, New Spark Plugs
105k - Minor Service, Timing & Drive Belt Replaced, New Tires (Good for 40k)
The Not so Good
- The exterior looks good, but it is not pristine. Many exterior dings and nicks, along with a few small dents. This car has been living in San Francisco for 10 years and as a result has been involved in the everyday close quarter car combat. It"s exterior has more door dings than I can count. It"s bumpers have more nicks than I can count. I"ve been told that a lot of the dings are "paint transfer" and can be "buffed out", but I"m not the kind to spend money on such things. I included pics of the two small dents.
- No AC. The AC stopped working a couple years ago and I haven"t gotten it reconditioned.
- The radio works. .kind of. I have had the same aftermarket receiver for 10 years. I only use it for the AUX connection to hook up my phone. And for this it works. However the digital read out doesn"t work anymore so I don"t know if the other radio functions (CD, AM/FM, etc.) still work. It"s been so long since I"ve used them.
- Internal truck release latch doesn"t work. You"ll need to open the trunk the old fashioned way, with the keys. It just stopped working one day and I never looked to fix it.
- Steering wheel and shift knob are showing there age (see pics).
- The are a few minor leaks in the engine bay. Older cars leak. I have only addressed leaks when they are a functional problem. None of these leaks are functional problems. One of the axle boots and clutch cylinders have minor leaks.
- One small rock chip in the windshield
Cash only. My selling price is firm. You can make a lower offer if you want, but I won"t respond to it for a few weeks.
Looking forward to talking with you :)
