Vehicle description
This car was purchased about 5 years ago and comes from the east coast.
Immediately after purchase, the ring and pinion gears were replaced.
The vehicle drove good for a few years, ended up rebuilding the head and replacing pulleys/bearings on the belt related pieces a couple of years ago to fix the timing.
On the way back from the Bay going through the Grapevine, we started hearing some knocking and pulled over.
Turns out there was an oil leak from the front bottom side of the motor.
After getting it back home and filling up oil and we got it started, it still knocks(but cranks and runs)
Besides the leak and the knocking, it could soon use new struts.
I took out the aftermarket radio and put it in my new vehicle, so it could use one of those.
This car was driven to Mammoth, Big Bear, SF bay dozens of times, and to the Grand Canyon.
I really need to get rid of this car so that I can park my new vehicle in my covered spot.
Fix it up or part it out to fix up another Outback.
Has heated seats, dimming rearview mirror; all electronics and switches still functioning.
