Vehicle description
2003 Pontiac Montana Minivan DELUXE EXTENDED VERSION - LOADED ! ! 3.4 Liter SV6 Cylinder 4x2 Drive. AC Cold ! Mechanics Special NMR ! Only two owners. I bought it from a guy in Indiana, who really took exceptional care of it. I also put a lot of new parts on it! I put a new JASPER Transmission in it at 135,000 miles. Approx 190,000 now. Replaced starter, replaced catalytic convertor. Replaced blower motor (heater). Replaced windshield wiper motor. Replaced water pump. Replaced battery. Replaced brakes. Replaced alternator. Replaced velocity drive shaft (both). Replaced engine and trans mounts. Replaced air conditioning evaporator. Replaced wheel bearings and seals and tie rods ends (both). .etc. . and the list goes on. .! !
Deluxe extended wheelbase version - I think this Montana is 12" or so longer, than a regular Montana. It"s also loaded with almost every option, except for sunroof and heated seats! Even has a rear interior built in (side compartment) air pump! ( it stopped working a while back, not sure what is wrong with it).
It has (4) leather high back captains chairs front and back. Fronts are full power seats! Two rear seats in row behind that! The seats are almost like new! ! I took them out when moving and never put them back in. They have been in storage for several years! The driver seat is the only one with any wear at all!
Premium Leather Interior Package - w/ Kenwood Premium Stereo Sound System CD Player - Power Windows - Power Front Seats - Power Sliding Doors- Cruise Control - Deluxe Interior Lighting Package - Tilt Steering Wheel - etc. . ! !
Also had newer Michelin tires recently put on it.
NOTE: My fiancee" was driving it, and ran out of gas in the winter, so she got help and a can of gas, and wasn"t aware you had to turn the key three times to initiate gas into system, so it wouldn"t start. She bought some starting fluid in a gas station and sprayed it, into where she shouldn"t have, and it caught on fire, and melted a wiring harness with several wires that control several things. So it needs someone to take the time and either re-wrap the wires or install a new wiring harness, and likely a ECM control module box (this is according to my son in law, a mechanic who unfortunately lives out of town. He stated because the fire was right under the ECM it is what heated and is causing the weird electrical symptoms. . won"t hold a charge after being jumped, windshield wipers acting strangely. . etc. . ). He states it an easy job, but is certainly beyond me! I purchased a new vehicle and was hopefully going to get him to repair it one day, but he has four kids, and never gets the time to get into town to do it, so we are sacrificing the vehicle for $795 or BEST OFFER ! !
The front grill is missing - a HUMMER"s bumper backed up into it, and we were just going to fix it, when the issue with the fire happened, so never got around to a few minor details. The glove box hinge broke, so that is why it is off, but it is laying around here somewhere - just needs a new hinge. Few other minor issues w/ interior trim needs a little TLC, but otherwise, will be a nice vehicle with someone mechanically inclined.
It will start with a jump, but highly recommend towing it! The melted wires control all kinds of things, so its best to repair them before attempting to drive.
Engine and transmission ran beautifully ! ! Vehicle is well worth the trouble to repair the electrical wires! Or it can be parted out, for use in other vehicles - the seats alone are worth the price of the vehicle! !
Comes with maintenance records and clean title!
I"m in the Pontiac / Auburn Hills border area. Just off I-75 at Joslyn Rd exit. (Just North of Walton blvd. at Joslyn). Right behind Great Lakes Crossing Outlet Mall.
