Vehicle description
Up for Auction is my Replica Project. It"s a 2003 Toyota MR2 Spyder with an F-Car 360 Spider inspired body Kit. As you can see, it is partially installed. The kit and the remaining panels are in rough shape. Will need fiberglass work. Don"t expect to just fasten a few nuts and bolts and be finished. I would only recommend for someone with fiberglass, fabrication and modification skills or have done by a professional.
The donor is a 2003 MR2 that runs and drives fine. It has the SMT transmission. Prior to using for the kit, coil-overs were installed along with drilled and slotted rotors w/ceramic pads. It also had a stainless steel exhaust. The rear section has extended framing to accommodate the body. It helps to make a more realistic look. Not the stubby look of some kits. The car comes with OEM headlight, replica tail lights(the dark inner"s are good, the outers have cracks and chips).
The car needs mounting points for the front clip, front bumper, and headlights. You can see the look in some mock up pics. The hood is an OEM fiberglass copy which needs to be extend toward the windshield section to be a good fit. The doors skins are currently mounted and do not have handles. The parts for the mechanism is included with the kit, but does require some fabrication. Another option is to install door poppers. Factory door cards are included as well. The rear clip is on and solid, the quarter panel cut out needs to be refined and screens can be installed. The rear deck lid/top tonneau cover need to be custom installed and/or installed on top of modified OEM lid. Rear bumper was modified OEM fiberglass replacement. Had to be cut to get the right fit, needs to be glassed together. The tail lights are positioned in place and not installed or wired up. The gas filler door has not been installed. It is included and the required hoses to extend the factory filler neck. Also, have a box of other misc. parts included. The car is being auctioned with MR2 factory wheels 15" frt and 16" rear. The challenge style wheels are not included. However, spacer/adapters are included tthat allow you to install 5x114.3 wheels. The ones shown are 18".
* * Please note* * This project is for someone with experience, not just a bolt-on and paint.
