Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer is a modified vehicle with updates to the exterior and interior. The owner has had it for 4 years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for car shows. Seller"s Notes Car is super clean, but does have a couple of nicks on each side on the doors. That is the only damage on the entire car. You would be hard pressed to find a cleaner example of a Blue by You Evo 8 with this low mileage in this day and age. Vehicle Details 2003 Mitsubishi evolution with 8681 miles. That’s right, that’s not a typo, 8681 original miles. This is a previous show car, it was sponsored by Pepsi, Roja wheels, Veilside, Sparco, Pioneer, and XS engineering based out in California. The car was built to do theSEMA circuit through the US in 2003 to showcase the arrival of the Evo to the US in its first year. The car eventually ended up in the hands of Mike Kojima, a motor sports engineer based out of California that is the owner of the magazine MotoIQ. He transformed the exterior of the car by putting all of the carbon and removing the Veilside body kit. He also added the JDM headlights and Tail lights. He sold the car to a Mitsubishi dealership who’s owner loved the car and wanted it for his collection. The car mostly sat in storage while being driven Monthly to keep the parts moving and lubricated. The car then Ended up at a dealership in Chicago where I found it 4 years ago. The car had a horrible turbo kit from 2003 on the car that was not optimal under the hood, a huge custom plenum intake manifold, big 3” intercooler piping, and a 3.5” exhaust. It was not a good setup at all. I pieced together an entire new turbo kit, intake manifold, 3” full exhaust system and installed everything myself. The car was professionally tuned on Long Island at E-spec Industries. The car currently makes about 425 hp at about 25psi of boost. Air fuel ratios are great. I also had new valve stem seals installed because of a few that were leaking. The car has a pioneer DVD head unit and roof mounted DVD unit for the passengers as well, all part of the pioneer sponsorship from 2003. They didn’t work when I got the car ( I don’t think they’re wired ) and I never bothered to get them working because the car just sounds so good now I never felt the need. The car is sitting on freshly powder coated stock Enkei wheels that have seen probably 5 miles of street driving. The tires also have great life left on them.
