Vehicle description
Mercury Marauder is the best panther car ever made. It drives like cars should drive- step on the gas and it roars and throws you back in your seat. This one has low mileage and has been dealer maintained during my three year ownership. Condition is very good considering its age- I would drive it across the country tomorrow with no hesitation. It has an aggressive stance due to tires because the rear tires are a bit larger. There is a throaty growl due to the twin pipes. Once the blower kicks in you are off to the races.
As you probably know, MMs are very rare with an original production run of about 11,000. Many of those are resting in peace and it is estimated that only about 3,000 are on the road. Most of the remaining cars have 100k + miles on them. But this car is just a baby at 85k. In addition many of the Marauders have been heavily modified and personalized for their users. As far as I know, this car is very close to stock with the K&N filter upgrade being the only mod I am aware of. That means that the next owner can mod and tune to their own specs.
So what about extras? Well, the original radio had CD issues and I swapped it with a multi changer unit from a Lincoln Avaitor. A man needs tunes. I have the original radio and will include it in the deal. I bought an additional K&N filter before I found out that the original was good with a cleaning. The new filter is included. The original car had a Crown Vic spare. I purchased an authentic MM wheel and mounted a new tire in it to replace the CV spare. I have the original MM floor mats and they are included in the purchase. When I purchased the car, the adjustable pedals did not work because the flimsy nylon gear was broken. I sourced a SOLID BRASS adjuster wheel and had it installed by the dealer. Now the adjustable pedals work and will for a long time. The shifter has a slight issue and I bought a replacement. The issue never bothered me enough to replace it but the shifter part is included in the purchase. And finally, I have an official Ford "birth certificate" for this car and will include it with the purchase.
I have a Carfax that is clean and shows me to be only the third owner. During that time it has been dealer maintained. This car has led a pampered life and it is the most fun car I have ever owned. It is only for sale because of personal health issues. With its cop suspension, Cobra engine, airbag ride, and tinted windows, this prize will send you down the road in style. As is and where is. Come on down and claim your ride.
