This one is one of my most precious piece of my collection besides my Disco G4 and is going to very hard tolet it go. Here are the most importantdetails about the truck, which are the most common issues on Land Rovers, buton this one, all are already DONE. FULLY OVERHAULED ENGINE. The 2 big problems with these engines, which areleaking head gaskets and cracked blocks from faulty liners have been repaired. ENGINE CYLINDER BLOCK WITHTOP HAT SLEEVES at 130,000 miles . Work done by West Coast Rovers, the best LandRover shop in the West Coast. The engine block was machine shop where it waspressure tested for deadly cracks and fully reconditioned. New freeze plugs,decked and line bored. The most important, the faulty cylinder liners werereplaced with TOP HAT liners and pined to the block so they stay in place. Thetotal bill for this job was $ 6,720.94 NEW HEAD GASKET . Work doneby West Coast Rovers. All Land Rovers will have this issue before reaching 125,000miles. This one has been done at 156,000 with new head gasket and new boltswith the right torque. The total bill for this job was 1,987.06 NEW SUSPENSION . The suspensionhas been replaced with TERRAFIRMA coils/springs. I do understand that somepeople like OLD MAN EMU suspension, I had it before and TERRAFIRMA has a more firmand tight ride. COOLANT BYPASS. Most people will debate the right thermostat temperature and how to controlthe flow of the coolant in order to maintain the engine temperature from goingup. After an exhausted research over the years, I adopted thebypass coolant application and since then, the truck runs perfect and it doesn"thave those coolant temperature oscillations.
