Vehicle description

Selling my beloved "Pete Seeger" aka; UFO RECOVERY TEAM Veggie Oil BUS .
This is a 2003 Ford E450 Super Duty 23" short bus that just finished its fourth cross country road-trip last month. Equipped with the legendary bullet-proof, old school v8 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel with just a measly 116,000 miles (hardly broken in) 10 adult capacity, so no commercial driver license necessary. Pete weighs 14,050 pounds so no smog/emissions necessary in Nevada or California, please check for other dmv requirements because Pete is registered/titled in Alaska. I have owned 5 other (1994-2003) old school 7.3 powerstroke bus" over the years and they are wonderful engines. I am trying to buy a house so regrettably Pete and I must go our separate ways.
Rig has front/rear heat/ac that work great, I had the ac system completely redone (new ac/heater core, the rear ac motor/fans replaced, new ac compressor, new serpentine belt, etc), six almost brand new high quality Firestone TransForce tires (less than 6,000 miles), a one of a kind Mad Max front bumper (for driving through areas with open range grazing) and a customized limo-style interior with new flooring, walls, LED lighting, limo tinted rear windows, usb charger, 4 speaker Bluetooth/usb stereo, custom made steel overhead racks (1-10"/1-13.5") with a 1.5" front lip, includes (not installed) backup camera/monitoring system etc.
The passenger area behind the drivers seat is roughly 14" ft long, 8" wide, 6.5+" tall and the custom made 7" couches that have storage areas underneath the professionally upholstered cushions (two 7" on each side =14" total), sections can easily be removed if you want to reconfigure the layout. Pete has the original 40 gallon fuel tank, a second 20 gallon tank and two separate fuel filters installed on rear side rail (easy to change) so you are able to run veggie oil if you prefer.
Also just had the rear brakes completely redone (new rotors, pads, etc) a few weeks ago, $13000 is roughly what I have invested in it and I have receipts from the work/maintenance since I"ve owned it. If I was keeping Pete I would eventually sand and repaint the bus/bumpers but the worst of any body work is mentioned below but mechanically Pete is a beast, no smoke or oil problems and I would not hesitate to jump in tomorrow and drive anywhere in North America. I was quoted 250. for two front quarter panels/fenders in Portland, so it would probably be cheaper to buy new ones than to repair where the school bus mirror holes used to be on front (see pic) Body has a rust spot near bumper that can easily fixed (see pic) a couple dings here/there but good shape for its age.
Remember that Pete is a bus, though you can drive 80+ miles per hour, its not a 0-60 fast sports car, not a super posh quiet luxury sedan, its ultimately a good ole short school bus and that"s one of the things that is so awesome about it. People love this rig, get use to all the folks wanting pics, wanting to see inside and hearing some seriously serious UFO stories. The lettering on the bus is all vinyl and can be easily removed it you don"t care for it or want to paint it. I have clear title in hand.
The bus is located in Alameda, Ca (Bay Area) and being sold as is . but I encourage you to come see it for yourself and test drive. If you are unable to see/inspect in person, I will gladly take it to a nearby garage/mechanic of your choice for a pre-purchase inspection if you arrange/pay for it.
Vehicle must be picked up, I will not coordinate any shipping, I might be willing to deliver in neighboring states for a dollar per mile if I can get time off from work.
This is a 5 day auction and vehicle is being sold locally so auction could end sooner. Deposit is required in 48 hours and full payment is due 3 days.
7/7/18. BUS IS LOCATED AND MUST BE PICKED UP IN RIO VISTA, CALIFORNIA
