Rare 6 Speed Manual with 8 Foot bed
100% Rust Free with 111,200 miles At the end of this description there are links to many more photos and a CarFax. DESCRIPTION - - - - - - - - - - Purchased in June 2010 with 82,000 miles. Vin:3D7KU28C83G821201 Five facts make this an extremely RARE 2003 Dodge Ram. . 1. Never in an accident.
2. Driven less than 6500 miles/year.
3. It has a rust free undercarriage, frame and body.
4. Six speed NV 5600 manual transmission. This generation had terrible Automatics.
5. Eight foot bed. Nobody wants them except me and you. That"s why they are hard to find. It took me over a year to find a mint 2012 2500 Laramie with an 8" Bed to replace this truck. Truck was rust free when I bought it. In 10 years I put less than 3,000 miles a year. I only used it for work in good weather. Has been garaged kept since 2010. Only driven in snow and salt about 5 times. When it was, I hosed the entire truck and underneath with hot water before putting it back in my garage. Every time the truck was driven in the rain, it was completely dried in the garage. Simple design and extremely reliable. Excellent fuel mileage for a large truck. Being a 2003 there are virtually no factory pollution devices on this very fuel efficient 5.9 Cummins Diesel engine. This compared to the newer pollution strangled 6.7 liter Cummins. I average about 17.5 mpg overall around town mixed Long Island traffic with little highway use. I Did a recent test to compare my newly purchased 2012 Ram. At 66 mph, level 30 mile highway round trip. The 2003 got 23 mpg. By comparison the 2012 got 18. Truck runs quiet, strong and smooth with no rattles or issues. All accessories work as they should, including A/C. Transmission shifts perfectly and new clutch. Oil changed regularly with Mobil 1 synthetic oil. The Paint is shiny and not faded. There are minor imperfections that I highlighted in the Google photos . The "Non Smoker" interior is clean and not worn or faded. There are photos with and without the seat covers that were on since 2010. The photo of the rear seats removed is how I used the truck to carry my bagged expensive tools. There is also a photo of my tools stored on the truck bed shelves I made.

and Big Head Wastegate Actuator kit Auto Meter A-Pillar Triple Gauges
Pyrometer, Boost, and Fuel Pressure
These gauges are extremely beneficial for providing critical information when traveling especially if hauling a heavy load or pulling a trailer. The pyrometer allows you to run at the most economical RPM without lugging and overheating the turbo. The boost gauge keeps you informed of potential turbo problems. It also informs you of the engine energy level used in real time, (as with climbing a slight grade or in a headwind. The fuel gauge tells you when it"s time to change the fuel filters or other potential fuel issues . All of them help prevent or diagnose problems. Wheels and Tires
Five 315/70 R17 LRR (Low Roll Resistance) 34.5" tires mounted on Ultra aluminum 17x9 wheels.
Tires have 50% tread remaining. Average 9/32 of an inch. NOTE: These oversized tires change the overall gearing and is part of the reason for the exceptional fuel MPG. These tires do not rub and are the largest tires possible without a lift kit.
OTHER OPTIONS - - - - - - - - - Black A.R.E. Fiberglass Cap with wood shelves for tool boxes or whatever.

20,000 Lb. Pull-Rite Heavy Duty Trailer Hitch Includes unique EXTREMELY heavy duty 20,000 pound plus hitch receiver. This hitch creates a pivot point less than one foot behind the rear axle which totally eliminates trailer sway. Standard hitches have a pivot point of about 5 feet or more from the axle. With this hitch you can tow the heaviest tag along trailers made with the ease and confidence of a fifth wheel trailer. BUT now you have the benefits of using the entire truck bed. You can use the included cap or even a camper. I removed this hitch in 2010. Included heavy duty adjustable Load Leveling Springs enable you to level any load. I currently have this for sale on eBay. SERVICE and REPAIRS - - - - - - - - - 2019 New upgraded complete clutch including new flywheel, and synthetic transmission fluid change. Two new Interstate batteries. One tie rod replaced. OLDER SERVICE: 2010 Under cab mounted Baldwin primary fuel filter-water separator. All recalls performed. New hood struts. Front suspension and all universal joints are tight and working as they should. Front pads replace and still have 3/4 life remaining. Will need new rear brake pads in about a year or two, depending on mileage and/or how you drive.
