Vehicle description
Original Owner!
This is 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Quad Cab. It is 2WD and has about 282,000 miles. I know that sounds like a lot but I"ve changed the oil myself very regularly (3k mi or so) and it still runs great. It was my to/from work vehicle until we all started working from home and it was very dependable. I have purchased a 4WD truck so this one needs to find a good home.
It has a brand new radiator & hoses (Torrance Auto Repair does most of my work), very recent total A/C rebuild, and a recent transmission rebuild. It passed smog in early 2021.
All auto windows & door locks work from the driver side. Wipers/fluid, headlights, foglight, turn indicators, dash indicators all work.
I do get an occasional check engine light but it always has something to do with the gas cap. If I fill the tank all the way up, by the time it gets down to empty the light may come on. Filling it back up always makes the light go back off again.
No accidents & has clean title.
Upholstery and headliner are good. Back floor mat is good and I have 2 brand new OEM front mats arriving 8/27 (not pictured)
I upgraded the radio a few years ago to an Apple Car Play Pioneer AVH-1330NEX along with new front door speakers. I also added a subwoofer under the rear driver side seat (amp is under the driver seat).
The Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ P3 tires have about 1/3 life left on them (LT305/55R20) & there is a good spare tire mounted. Jack & full OEM tools are under the passenger seat.
There is a trailer brake controller connected under the steering wheel. You can just disconnect if you wish. I was planning to tow an RV on a trip that got canceled so it was never used.
Minor paint issues are found in several areas but the one largest one is in the right rear just in front of the tail light. I scraped a cinder block wall so it"s a minor dent & scrape.
The blue plastic just below the front grille has the most paint oxidation/damage. I had the whole truck detailed this week and they just weren"t able to improve this area any better. It"s typical of an 18 year old truck.
One last potential thing you"ll notice is that the upper half of the steering wheel is bent. I honestly don"t know how this happened but it"s been like this for 10 or so years. I may have hit it once or twice after being frustrated in LA traffic. It works perfectly well but just looks a little odd.
