Vehicle description
I love this Audi! It is a beautiful car, awesome features, incredible in snow because of traction control, and fast too! Unfortunately, unexpectedly, we are moving to Michigan on 8/15/18. I do not have the money to fix her even though I believe it would be an easy fix, everything I have is going into the move. The vehicle is not moving forward. It’s starting, even drives backwards fine, but is not moving forward. The code that came up pointed to the camshaft sensor. This sensor tells the pistons when to fire. I also received confirmation from my mechanic that it most likely is just the camshaft sensor. You can purchase one online for 43.49 at usautoparts.com. You can install it within an hour if you have a socket wrench set, and watch a youtube video. Search “audi a6 2003 camshaft position sensor replacement”. Walks you step-by-step. Easy to do if you just breath and follow the instructions. The car has many BRAND NEW items that were installed. I installed new tires $600 w/ new limited warranty, anti-freeze pool, MAP Sensor, Alignment, Power Steering Pump, Battery, Brake master cylinder, serpentine belt, several turbo hoses, and all new spark plugs. I conditioned and cleaned leather often. The car comes with about 8 different bottles of products for the car that I purchased. Half are leather care, the other essential liquids like your cars specific anti-freeze and power steering fluid. Like I said, I love this car, I just had an unexpected move and need to get rid of it before I leave. I would like $1200 for it. It’s about half what I have put into it. All those parts are brand new. I have driven less than a hundred miles with those parts on there. The fix is simple. It breaks my heart to let it go.
