Vehicle description
Don’t let the mileage fool you - this is a gem, and and amazing Grand Tourer. I am the 2nd owner of this rare 6 speed CL Type-S. Less than 5,000 manuals were made, and it is tough to find one that has been properly maintained, adult driven, and is stock (I only found 10 for sale nationwide). The original owner put 219,000 miles on driving cross country, so most of the miles are from highway driving. I have all records since new, and all major services (timing belts, etc) have been done at proper intervals. This car looks and drives like it is 2-3 years old, and pulls hard to the redline with a great shifting action and clutch. Ice cold a/c, and gorgeous preforated black leather seats with strong side bolstering (heated, power seats have 2 memory settings). New front and rear brakes (ceramic pads and rotors all around), all fluids flushed and regular oil changes.
Just had it aligned at the Acura dealer, and the only issue they found was a very minor leak from power steering pump, which they advised not worrying about unless it gets worse (car does not drip anything). I am only selling because with 3 teenagers I need a 4 door with 3 rear seats (the CL has 2 in the rear, which are comfortable for adults up to 6 feet tall). Includes factory floor mats, and heavy plastic molded Acura trunk mat, all manuals, records, and both sets of keys/ fobs.
Issues:
1) crack at top of windshield (not in field of view).
2) 1-2 inch body blemish beside fuel door
3) driver seat has creases, but no cracks/tears (all other leather is excellent).
There are no mechanical issues and everything works properly. If you have never driven a manual CL Type-S, it is an amazing car. Car and Driver magazine called it the best handling front wheel drive car they have ever tested, and said it held its own against the 2003 BMW 330 Ci:
