Vehicle description
I hate to do it, but the time has come to part ways with this truck. This is a single-owner truck…I bought it new in 2002 and used it as my primary commuting vehicle until 2014. Lots of the miles are highway miles. Since 2014 has been an occasional use utility vehicle. This truck has been, hands down, the best truck I’ve ever owned. I hate to get rid of it, but it now needs some TLC which I don’t have the skill nor time to provide. I believe this truck to be a good project vehicle for someone who knows what they’re doing, or at the very least a good truck for parts. The truck doesn’t owe me anything, so starting bidding low with no reserve. As one would expect, it does have a few warts as follows: - Check engine light, caused by low compression in cylinder 2. This is the reason I stopped driving it in 2014 as my primary, as was too difficult to get past PA emissions with light on. Drove less than 5K miles per year since 2014 to get emissions waived. Have hauled heavy loads with the check engine light on, I never noticed any lack of power. - Rusted frame. This was new in 2020, causing it to fail safety inspection. Have included pics of both sides of the frame showing rust damage. My guess is this is fixable for someone with the right equipment and know-how. - AC does not work. Was also a new issue in summer 2020. I didn’t drive it enough to bother getting anew charge/fill. - Airbag light is on. Not sure what that’s about, never bothered with it. - Battery is dead from sitting. Happy to jump-start for a buyer. Everything else works fine on the truck…power windows, cruise, etc. Truck is a manual transmission and has original clutch. Upholstery is good. Includes a color-matched topper with functional locks and interior light, bed liner, class III hitch with wiring, as well as a generic “large SUV” cover (see pic) if buyer wants is. Can also include maintenance records since 2002 if buyer is interested. The truck has only been driven a handful of times since it failed inspection in Oct 2020. It drives quite well, but unfortunately I cannot allow it to be test driven, as it is no longer insured, and does not have current inspection/emission. I can’t afford the liability. Buyer is responsible for pickup. Happy to answer any questions. Good luck and happy bidding!
