Vehicle description
For sale is a 2002 - top of the line - Chrysler Town & Country Limited AWD 3.8L.
Lots of highway miles but in very good running condition!
I have owned this since 2014 and have really enjoyed the advantages of the AWD system. This van has traveled from Oregon to Florida without even a hickup!
I have meticulously maintained it with 3000 mile oil changes, A rebuilt transmission a few years ago,and within the last few years I have replaced the front drive axles & CV joints, the rear axles and CV joints, all wheel bearings, plus complete 4 wheel brakes and rotors front and rear, top of the line AGM battery, brand new muffler, resonator and pipes, Complete front end suspension with new lower control arms, and new springs and struts. Everything functions perfectly. It still gets about 24-26 MPG highway and 18 city!
Air Conditioning works very well (the rear A/C and heater has been disconnected) and most all the accessories work fine as well. Tires are Michelin and are in decent shape. New steel wheels were added a few years ago as the Fancy Aluminum wheels would sometimes not hold air around the bead surface. They can be fixed fairly easy, but I needed to go on a emergency trip, and just replaced them with the brandnew steel ones. The original wheels are included with the van if you want them. The main idea was if it needed something, it got it!
The interior is pretty good for its age and the seats are leather. Carpeting throughout is in great condition. Look at the pics to see. Front mats are Weather-Tech and it is really easy to keep clean, even in the winter months. The heater works great and the Radio/CD andchanger are awesome! There are actually three center consoles that go with this van. The two that are installed now are the standard locking type and the third console houses the originally installed VHS (video tape system). All are included.
The body is like most other vehicles of this age. Rusty in several areas as I tried to show in the pictures. Rocker panels, Rear Lift gate, and the start of rust on both front fenders. The hood has a few small dents and some areas of peeling Clearcoat. This did not show well in the pictures, so I thought I would mention it. The sliding side doors and the lift gate are power, but do not work. However, manual operation is fine.
Behind the 3rd row seat is a unique shelf that when lifted up in position is very sturdy and can support an amazing amount of weight. This was an option on the 2002 Limited. if not needed, it can be removed with only two screws in the door sill - Really cool!
I did not intend to ever sell this van but wanted to turn it into a camper because with the AWD it can goplaces normal minivans cant get to.
MAKE AN OFFER!
But we are now in a Condo and there is just no longer room to keep it. So it is time for it to find a new home.
This Minivan is also for sale locally so I retain the right to end the listing early if necessary.
