Vehicle description

Toyota RAV4 EV. I"ve had this car for a very long time and last year I decided to stop using it because I"m not getting the milage I used to. As of today, the maximum miles this car can drive is 35. The batteries are Nickle Metal Hydrade which are hard to find these days. However, It was my plan to just replace them with Lithium-Ion batteries which would have made this on par with today"s modern cars" milage. This is a perfect car for an Electric car project for anyone with interest. The car itself runs great, if it wasn"t for the mileage I wouldn"t be selling it. I"m too old now to replace the batteries but someone younger might have no problems! Here are the facts about the car:The Heat and A/C work, not as well as it did before, but they function on some level. The Power steering pump went out on me a few years ago so I had to replace it with a Toyota MR2 Steering pump that is electric because the pump is originally electric. The pump doesn"t fit well in the engine compartment but it doesn"t move around at all when driving, and it does work very well as a replacement. Since it was electric I had to wire it directly to the battery. Driven about 10000 miles on it with no issues. It is literally the only sound you will hear when the car is on, its not very loud. The car"s original charging method was a paddle, that stopped working a very long time ago so I wired a DC Charger directly to the car which has been working great for over 30k miles. The only caveat is that the car needs to be on when it is being charged. Also, the little compartment door that opens to the charging port stopped working, I"m thinking it"s a fuse that needs to be changed but never really got around to finding it so I just lift the hood and charge it that way. Fixing it will allow you to open the little door that will fold down outside so there wouldn"t be a need to lift the hood. I thought about just cutting the cable and just putting a magnet on the door, but I didn"t want to be lazy about finding the fuse.It does come with a 20 amp Manzanita charger. SO this is a complete car and charger auction. The charger is a 120/240 Volt charger, so you can charge it with a 220 V cable or a 110V Cable. It auto senses the voltage. If you don"t mind tinkering to make improvements or want a solid base to make your own electric car with only have to change batteries, this is your car.I am also including the Original Repair Manual and Original Electrical Schematic Book, which are impossible to find for less than 200$ each. Please ask any questions! Being sold As-Is, but I does work great!
