Vehicle description

The vehicle is in excellent condition with a clear title in my name and is one of the nicest 996 C4S’s you will ever come across. The C4S model is a 911 996 “wide body” so shares all the high-performance brakes, suspension, etc. with the Turbo model. It is also all wheel drive. All service required over the life I have owned the vehicle was performed, and many parts were preventatively replaced. As you probably know if you are viewing this vehicle 996’s with the 3.6L engine are prone to IMS bearing failure which you don’t have to worry about on this vehicle as it was just replaced with an LN Engineering Double Row Retrofit Bearing. The IMS service will cost anywhere from $3-5K depending on the shop performing the work and is absolutely necessary if the IMS history of the vehicle is not known. Since the IMS was replaced on this vehicle the reserve is set accordingly and the documentation of the service which was performed at Translog in York, PA will be included with the sale. Major vehicle options include: Bose sound system (huge improvement over standard), heater power mirrors, rain sensing wipers, rear wiper, sport suspension, Tiptronic automatic transmission, heated windshield washers, leather seats, limited slip differential, power driver and passenger seats, and a power sunroof. I installed several upgrades to the vehicle including a fixed rear GT2 style wing, 19-inch Porsche 991 replica wheels with 235/35/19 front and 315/25/19 Toyo Proxes tires which are still like new, and a Vertex auto cold air intake. In the last three years the vehicle has had the following services / parts performed or installed. All have documentation which will be included in the sale. New double row LN Engineering IMS retrofit bearing (70K) New rear main seal (70K) New oil filler pipe (70K) New flex plate (70K) New plugs and coils (~60K) New gas cap and fuel neck vent (~55K) New front hood shocks (~55K) New windshield cowl panel (~55K) New OEM front control arm assemblies, inner/outer CV boots, tie rods, ball joints (~65K) New OEM fuel vapor canister (~65K) New climate control module screen (~70K) New AGM battery (~65K) I purchased the vehicle roughly three years ago in Missouri and had it shipped to PA. Shortly after that hit a small deer on the right left corner which will be seen in the Carfax report (I have a picture and would be happy to provide it to anyone considering purchasing the vehicle). There was very minor damage but I wanted the car to be returned to perfect condition so I had it repaired at Autohaus Porsche in Lancaster, PA at a cost of $12,705. The vast majority of the cost ($10,492) was parts as anyone with a Porsche knows. All were new Porsche OEM including a brand-new right headlight at a cost of over $3K. The receipt detail of the repair will be included in the sale. It ended up being a blessing in disguise as a new OEM fender, grill, and bumper cover were installed / painted and I purchased a new radiator and AC condenser so they have very few miles on them. The car came out absolutely perfect, panel alignment is excellent, and no functional damage (suspension, steering, etc.) occurred. I encourage anyone considering purchase to stop by and take the vehicle for a drive, especially if you have driven other 996’s. You will quickly determine this is one of the best examples out there. If you are unable to view the vehicle in person due to proximity, I would be happy to make a video of the car starting, driving, etc. Buyer is responsible for any and all shipping arrangements but I will be happy to facilitate in any way I can. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required upon purchase will full payment via cash, wire-transfer, or cashier’s check expected within three business days. If you choose to use a cashier’s check there will be a three day hold on shipping to ensure the check clears my financial institution. Buyer will be furnished with a bill of sale during the hold to acknowledge the receipt of the check.
