This 2002 Pontiac Grand Am is not just a "forgotten about, garden variety, 4cyl economy car" from 20 years ago. This is a Ram Air, 3400 V6 Sequential Fuel Injected piece of General Motors History. My GT-1 model is something you will not find every day, especially in exceptional condition. The car you are looking at is a fully optioned model including leather interior, power moonroof, MONSOON Premium Audio and a chrome wheel package. It is totally original aside from the tires and the battery, it even retains it"s original windshield. Add to that, it is a one owner, 100% rust free California car with all factory floor mats, cargo net, unused spare w/jack, owners books and master key w/remote. This GT is totally stock and unmodified in any way which is exactly how you want to find one. Please take the time to review the over 100 full sized, high resolution photos that show the car is completely corrosion free and has never been damaged.
The body of the car is nice and straight with no major dings or dents. There are a few blemishes as to be expected but I have had the car professionally airbrushed so it looks really nice. Aside from a few scratches on the rear bumper cover, there is really nothing that takes away from the looks of this sport sedan, all paint is shiny with no fading. All lights and lenses are in nice shape and are all are functional including the fog lamps. Glass is excellent including the original windshield, sides and rears are clear, never been tinted. Goodyear performance tires are a really nice matching set of four with 75% or better tread life remaining, alloys are intact and chrome looks really nice. All center caps and lug covers are there.
The interior is really quite amazing. Of the few of these cars that actually were made with leather, you will find there is not much left of these in this type of original condition, the majority are torn up, dried up or sun-baked. The leather on this car is in incredible shape with no dryness, shrinkage, seam separation or discoloration. Very comfortable as well. Carpets are clean, headliner is in very nice condition as are the visors and vanit y mirrors. The dash, console and door panels are in remarkable shape as well, you will find that most are warped, cracked or disfigured, this one has a very slight lift on the driver"s side but hardly noticeable and better than 99% of the Grand Am"s I"ve seen in well over 10 years. There are no pet, tobacco or musty odors, all interior lighting is operational as are all gauges, power options, audio system sounds good (did not test cassette or CD functions), air conditioning is ice cold too.
Mechanically the car performs every bit as good as it looks. The V6 engine is powerful, transmission shifts at all the correct points and the car holds the road just as you would expect a mid sized performance sedan to do so. This car is a real blast to drive! It has not exhibited any leaks or overheating, no check engine or any warning lights on in the dash either.
So, what"s a fairly rare Pontiac Grand Am GT worth? Well, a fairly "edgy" 140,000 mile GT from the east coast just sold here on last month for $3500 so my asking price of $5950 for a 68k mile "diamond" is quite justifiable.
