Rare 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT V6 Spyder Convertible w/ Clean Title
GT Convertible 3.0L 2972CC 181Cu. In. V6 GAS SOHC Naturally Aspirated
This is an amazing vehicle that has served me well, but since I inherited another vehicle I have no room to keep it, so it must find a new loving home.
This vehicle has had only two owners. The original owner traded it in at a Volvo dealership in NY at only 14K miles, where I purchased it from and loved it ever since. I reached out to the original owner (non-smoker) and found out the vehicle was always kept garaged, and has been well taken care of. Since then I myself (non-smoker) have kept it garaged and have performed all maintenance by following the service records book. A LOT of love has gone into this vehicle.
The powered Convertible Top works smoothly and quickly, and there are no mechanical problems. The Timing Belt was changed at 65K mi by Mitsubishi dealer in Paramus NJ. The Engine has received only fully synthetic oil every 3K mi, resulting in perfectly smooth operation. The Battery is only 3 months old and has been maintained with a trickle charger. The Breaks are very good and will not need replacement for several years. The Engine mounts rubber tops have been replaced at 80K mi to ensure long life The Gas Tank has been lowered for inspection (passed) and the fuel hoses above it were replaced to extend operational life and reduce maintenance costs. (a $2K procedure) The Sportstronic transmission has been inspected, and works smoothly and reliably in both modes.
The vehicle has had the following upgrades / Improvements from stock:
* Electroluminescent dashboard overlay to change stock dash lights from red to blue, and allow dimming control for improved night driving. * Console and under console white bulbs replaced with blue LED’s for longer life and enhanced look * Windshield spray nozzles outfitted with blue LED’s (switchable on/off) * Four new TSW Zenon Spyder Alloy Wheels for a sporty seamless look ($1400 value) * Pioneer AVIC-Z3 7" in-dash Hard Drive based Navigation system with voice recognition and hands free calling. - The AVIC has been upgraded with a larger Hard Drive and Pioneer restrictions have been removed so navigation can be accessed while driving. ($1500 value) * Pioneer Sirius/XM Satellite receiver was installed in the rear left trunk pocket. * Pioneer Bluetooth Streaming Add-on module for AVIC-Z3 also installed. * Pioneer Backup Rear view camera added, and tied to Pioneer Navigation system. * HID Bi-Zenon Headlights - twice the brightens and half the energy use (less strain on alternator) - Free New set of HID lights (new Kit) included as spare! * Steel Breaded Brake Lines - full bleed + replacement of stock hoses, to prevent hoses from ever breaking, and increasing life for the life of the vehicle. * BOSH +4 Spark Plugs * High-Performance Firestone Tires only 1.5y old and with full thread. * A spare dashboard stock Clock Module was modified to house a stealth radar detector (Whistler with Laser Detection) imbedded in the dashboard (original stock clock will be included in the sale to allow return to factory if desired)
