Vehicle description
2002 Mercedes C320 Wagon 289K miles. Its been a good car, just don"t use it anymore. With a little TLC this could be a great car. The picture shows a spare, the wheel and flat tire is in the trunk.
The good: I acquired this from a friend who"s father bought it new so I know the history. Miles mainly highway and he took good care of it. I"ve also changed the oil/filter every 5K miles with synthetic; engine is strong and has never not started. Burns a little oil but not significant. No rust and the body is in good condition, interior is as well other than the headliner needs to be replaced. New fuel pump installed at 215K miles. New brakes & rotors put on at 230K miles, new shocks and control arms put on at 240k miles. New valve cover gaskets, battery, spark plugs and wires replaced recently as well. New hood and tail gate lift shocks, serpentine belt and idle pully. Other than what is mentioned below, it is a great car. Some minor repairs and it will be good for another 300K. I have both keys as well.
What needs work: Radio turns on but no volume. Bose system.
A/C - compressor clutch broke so that needs to be replaced or new compressor. The fan blows heat but when it gets hot out the fan sporadically works. There is a controller you can buy for around a $100 to fix this.
Alignment: Needs rear alignment. Just rotated tires so rear are around 50% but fronts need to be replaced fairly soon. Right rear suspension makes a popping noise - I had it diagnosed and was told the upper mounts need to be tightened I haven"t done this yet.
Left Rear window. Off track needs to be put back on.
Check engine light comes on from time to time. I"m was told it is an emissions thing - it needs one more emissions review in NC before it is grandfathered in and will not be required after this year.
If you have any other questions just ask!
