Vehicle Details 2002 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E320 4Matic AWD. I have had this car since 2007. I believe I am the second owner. I bought it at a Nissan dealer as it was a trade-in. The car has been used for commuting to work for over 10 years. I no longer need the car since it is our third car and I work from home - I was originally keeping it as a third car when the other cars are in the shop but I haven't had any need for that for a year now. The tires are very close to brand new. I recently had Bridgestone Turanza tires installed at COSTCO. It has a new Platinum battery from Autozone in May 2020. The battery does drain if you don't use the car - and one main reason I am getting rid of it now. Its just a pain to keep now. If you use it consistently like I did all along it was not an issue. The Air Conditioning works - I had the compressor and a bunch of the AC parts changed and it has been good since. Most of the common issues with these cars have all been replaced - brake stop switch, front springs. Ball joints were changed. Aftermarket front driveshaft was put in. One of the front shocks were changed. Both front ball joints were changed. The car has been very reliable for many years and I expect it to be a reliable runner for the new owner. It is an old car and it does have quite a bit of flaws. There is rust in the normal places on both front fenders. The front bumper was glued back together when i bumped into some ice. The ABS and BAS warning lights are on - I think that is the brake stop switch again - about a $15 part on Amazon. The passenger side of the hood doesnt latch. It does have a new hood release cable so I believe it is the lower latch part - I see it is about $40-$50 on ebay. The car does burn oil, nothing drastic. Never had to fill it between oil changes, if you change your oil consistently like I have it will just be low next time you change it by about a quart. The car takes about 8.5 quarts of oil each change. I changed oil at 7K intervals. The coolant leaks or disappears, every so often you will need to add - maybe once a year. The rear diff leaks and needs to be filled every so often - last half dozen times at the shop it has been good. Now these leaks are there, but I've never run across spots below the car, but these fluids do disappear every so often. The only other thing, the transmission has always been fine since I got it, but it is a little rough at times if you are very aware like me you will notice it, it has always been like that and i dont expect any major issues, you may not even notice it if you are not as aware. Two wheels were replaced and the paint is peeling off those, they still look pretty good, my wife hit a curb and blew out the wheels and tires on that side. Also, its never been in a major crash. One time someone kicked the rear passenger door panel and I had that fixed. My wife also backed into it with our Minivan and hit the quarter panel, same area passenger side, I also had that repaired. The heated seat on the passenger side works but the heated seat on the driver side doesnt work. The radio was modified with a 3.5mm audio input, so the cassette is no longer functional. The cup holder is broken and I threw it out. I think that is everything I can say about the car. With all that said, it is sold as-is. Nonrefundable deposit of $500 due at close of auction.
