A 2002 LEXUS ES300
Which was purchased in January,2014 at Car Max ,for [$15,500.00] and had approximately 72,000 miles at that time. We have the receipt to show the next owner.
The car was finally given as gift to one of the-family members, whom is a Vietnam Veteran senior.
Prior to the family giving the car to the veteran , the car had a clean Car-fax , no accidents or nothing.
Within the last three years this party has one accident [BUMPER AND ONE LIGHT AND QUARTER PANEL REPLACED] no airbags deployed,and one other incident of running into a “HANDICAP SIGN", [BUMPER WAS REPLACED -AGAIN-WITH TWO NEW FRONT LIGHTS]. Car has been parked for a 1/2 a year.
The insurance company did a [TOTAL LOSS] on the car and the title had to now be a [SALVAGE TITLE].
Now, there was never damage to the engine. All the prior work was all exterior/cosmetic. And the car now will appear to look brand new ten feet away.
One thing has happened to the car that for our family is unexplained and would have to be addressed or not for the next owner. The car seems to be taking in water when it [rains] through the exterior vents where the windshield wipers are just in front of the windshield. And parts of the carpet get wet. This may be an inexpensive fix, we will leave this up to the new owners.
Now, the car still drives like a dream! [LIKE ANEW CAR] The ES300 can go just past 400-miles on a full tank of fuel and gets 32-mile highway and in the twenties in the city. This car is so comfortable.
The interior has some damage[stained] areas due to the water intrusion, most of these problems are corrected except for a SEVERAL areas. The rear windows do not function [been that way for a long time], front electric windows run fine and are automatic. Passenger front seat has a few small tears, and somehow the back cover to the driver seat keeps falling off, this had been an ongoing problem. The right mirror works but is non electric.
Has an exceptionally large trunk which is great for travelers, daylight running lights, garage link, self-dimming rear view mirror with a compass, ice cold air, a high end Bose stereo with a six disk player and it sounds fantastic, and nearly new tires, and no curb rash on the wheels,which look great, a bunch more goodies. And the brakes are in excellent shape and stops on a dime, the car has superb braking power. And a brand-new battery. . . . . .
Also, these engines are known to go near a [half a million miles if taken care of]. The car only has 89,995. There is some guy on YouTube talking about his ES300 with nearly 600,000 miles on its “WOW”.
