2002 Lexus ES 300, selling privately and owned since was purchased with 27,000 miles.
Mostly highway driven, always maintained to commute with filling only 93 octane gas, timely oil changes, filters, etc. , with today"s mileage of approx. 190,000 miles.
As a preventative maintenance, the timing belt together with the water pump, was replaced twice during my ownership, the second time was around 127K miles, adding to the car"s life. Condition is fair: car is reliable - I loved driving my car 100 miles a day to work and still drive the car occasionally. Has a sun roof, heated leather seats in good condition, radio, some exterior dents and drives well, it"s a Lexus! Recently spent $400 for basic repairs that include a NEW driver side tire.
Issues:
· I burn about 1 quart of oil a month but was driving 500 miles a week or 2,000 miles per month · Warning Light believe is for Catalytic sensor
· Spare tire rim is bent
· Definitely one tire is bald – need to replace
· Noise from power steering; Jiffy lube added wrong type of power steering fluid – system was flushed but squeaky noise came back heard when parking maneuvering. Not issue when driving.
· AC – need Freon filled every 2 years but a leak has never found during testing or refill.
· Glove compartment broken at hinges.
Car pickup is only from Ocean NJ.
