Vehicle description
VERY CLEAN 2002 HUMMER H1! ! LOW MILES OF 33,600 COMPLETE CUSTOM INTERIOR 6.5 TURBO DIESEL
You are looking at a 2002 Hummer H1. If you know H1"s, you know these are the civilian version Hummer"s. They are based off of the military version, but have the comfort of better suspension, better interiors, air conditioning, better doors, etc. This is not a military version converted over to civilian. Civilian versions were sold at dealerships across the US so they have real 17 digit vin numbers and can be worked on by any diesel mechanic or Chevrolet dealership.
H1 Hummer"s are the ultimate off-road machine with all-time four wheel drive. However, as you can tell by looking at this one, this H1 is a pavement vehicle with no off road time.
I currently own three H1"s (as well as numerous other cars and motorcycles). One H1 is a two door truck, the other is a four door hard top and then this one. This yellow one is in by far better condition than my other"s and looks the best in and out. Current mileage is around 33,600 but I do drive it so it will fluctuate. As you can see by the pics, the odometer was swapped by a Hummer shop at 12,275. The decal on the door jamb was applied by them so add the current odometer and the sticker number for an accurate reading.
I bought this H1 while looking for a hard top. The hard tops are rare so hard to come by. I finally found one but it needs lots of work so this yellow one is for sale. I have only had it about four months. My intention was to use it as a ranch vehicle but it is too nice for me to off-road it or take anything out of it.
As you can see, the interior is top notch. It has Ferrari style interior and although not verified by me, the previous owner stated it was actual Ferrari material and installed in the style of Ferrari"s. Along with the interior upgrade, this H1 has an upgraded stereo system consisting of upgraded stereo head unit, amplifiers and sub-woofers. There are two 10" subs, one under each of the rear seats. There are amplifiers in between the two seats as well as three amps in the bed area located in their own custom enclosure. The interior amps have multi-colored LED lights controlled via remote. The amps have a control near the driver seat to lower or raise the amp level so it can be completely turned off or minimized depending on our preference when you drive. There are screens on the headrest of the driver and passenger seats. Additionally, the stereo head unit is a screen and there is a larger screen which comes out of the dash area via electronically controlled motors. Basically, you press a button near the driver and the screen comes out of the center dash area. There is an older model PlayStation connected to the screens. I am not a gamer and have never played a console so I did not use it nor attempt to turn it on. I would imagine the new owner may want to upgrade to a newer system. It appears the unit can be switched with the removal of a few screws. The console and controller are currently there, but again, I have not tried using it.
This H1 has an upgraded light rack with Baja style lights, all working and controlled via switches near the driver"s area. Most people change these to LED style bars, but I like the look of the round lights. The head lights are LED upgrades and are very bright.
The A/C blows very cold through the front vents. H1"s have two vents in the rear. .the two hoses on this H1 for the rear are not currently connected due to the stereo system. Removing a few screws gets you access to the tubes and vents to connect the rear AC if you choose to do so.
H1"s are notorious for having bad PMD modules. The PMD on factory setups is in a location where it is difficult to access. The PMD on this H1 has been replaced and rerouted as is common for these. I added the extension harness and relocated a new PMD to be in the area of the front passenger wheel well. This is the most common placement of the PMD. If you choose to off-road, it can be located in the snorkel. The good thing is, I have taken care of this common problem so you will not have to do so. Also located in the wheel well is a battery tender. H1"s such as this run on two batteries. Both batteries are connected to the tender so you can plug it in when not in use to make sure your batteries are ready to go. This H1 currently has two yellow-top Optima batteries and both were recently tested good by my local Auto Zone.
The Central Tire Inflation System on this H1 is still connected, unlike many with custom wheels/tires. The back wheels system works great. The front system has a leak in one of the hoses so the air shows as going in but then zero"s out when you switch off the inflation system and does not read the fronts accurately. This does not mean the tires don"t hold air. .it just means at least one of the hoses is not working correctly and may need to be replaced.
The paint on this H1 is better than the vast majority you will see out there. It appears to have been garaged most of its life. I know myself and the previous owner always had it garaged. The soft top is in good shape and it has the optional tinted plastic rear window. also included is the original non-tinted version. The back vinyl bed cover is included but may need to be replaced due to having some shrinkage and not velcro"ing all the way around the bed.
The truck is good mechanically with the 6.5 Turbo Diesel. I had the oil changed recently and drive it on the Dallas highways regularly. I have a heavy foot and this truck does 75-80mph without issue although most will tell you it is best to stay in the 75 and below range for these vehicles.
This H1 is located near Dallas and inspections PRIOR to auction ending are welcome. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, but I will make myself available for a shipping company.
I have a dealer license for Texas and thus can accept a bank loan check made out to my dealership. If done that way and you are a Texas resident, TT&L fees will need to be added to final price and the vehicle will be registered to you by me. However, this is my truck so private party is best.
