2002 Limited Ultimate Excursion 4x4 7.3 Powerstroke diesel 173,000 miles (it was at 148,000 when I bought it in 2018) I am the second owner, I bought it from an electrical contractor in Los Angeles I bought the truck and installed all the upgrades to make this the ultimate tow vehicle. Towed my 11,000lb 40’ travel trailer like it was not there. Can tow max 12,500lbs. We upgraded to a fifth wheel, so we don’t need the Excursion anymore. I get 20mpg around town with the 80hp tune – 30mpg freeway (not towing) with the cruise set at 85 – and 15mpg with the 60hp tow mode towing a 11,000lb travel trailer.
