I am auctioning my 2002 Chevy Avalanche Z66 (On-Road Edition) in Sunset Orange Metallic. I am the 2nd owner since new, I bought it in 2003 w/ 17,000 miles and have taken very good care of it. The truck has been extremely reliable over the years and would make an excellent daily driver for anyone looking for a safe, clean, reliable, and rust-free truck. While it looks a lot newer and drives great, it is a 2002 vehicle, thus I cannot make any warranty or guarantee that it won"t need repairs in the future. In full disclosure, my Avalanche has always been a very dependable truck for me, and is very easy and cheap to work on. I"m selling it simply because I bought a larger truck and just can"t keep both. Clear Title, Clean Carfax, No Collisions, Great service history. (+) Very good mechanical condition, with 181,700 miles (mostly highway). Oil has always been changed like clockwork, and always synthetic. Oil and filter changed within last 2 months. Never failed an inspection. No leaks or drips whatsoever. (+) New shocks (1-year old) front and rear. The rears are factory extra heavy duty and unique to the Z66 options package. Towing package is perfect - I"ll include a 2" drop ball mount (2" ball) w/ pin and clip (rated 5,000 lbs.). (+) Westin chrome full-length side steps. (+) Rhino-Rack roof rails and locking cross members w/ keys (will include kayak rack mount components and tie-down straps). (-) Hail damage on hood and some on the roof from a March 2017 hail storm. The hail damage is cosmetic and I have set the starting bid low to afford the lucky winner to replace the hood/paint, repair the existing hood, or live with it as I did. Otherwise the paint is in extremely nice and shiny shape. This is a very very straight truck.
(-) Needs New Tires (265/70R17) - 3 are worn, 1 is good (replaced 2-years ago due to a sidewall puncture), spare is good (used once, but it"s old rubber). Suggest: Moving the good tire to the spare and getting 4 new tires. The factory polished aluminum rims are in excellent, like new condition.
(-) Crack in rear bumper cover (grey plastic armor). I did it myself by backing into my boat trailer hitch (in 2011). The crack is purely cosmetic and is super easy replacement or repair - I was never bothered by it. (+) Window glass is perfect all the way around, power windows are all in perfect working condition. Factory privacy tint on back passenger windows and rear mid-gate window, with lighter factory tint up front (all factory options, all legal). (+) Kenwood Radio/CD/Bluetooth hands-free, with Polk Audio speakers. I"ll also include the original factory radio. (+) The Interior (tan leather) is in extremely good shape, however the drivers seat has normal wear/cracks on the bottom surface leather (not terrible or unusable). Non-smoker. I will Include the factory carpet mats (front) and factory all-weather rubber mats (front and back). (+) Rear bed is in extremely good shape and includes the factory rubber bed liner matt, and the factory bed covers (3 pieces). The mid-gate works perfectly. The bed was only ever used for light duty, so it too is very clean. (+) AC works well - replaced compressor and condenser last summer (2017). Heater works well too. Includes 2 keys, 2 fobs, 1 center console key, and 2 matched keys for the Rhino-Racks.
I require a down payment when you win the auction, and full-payment within seven days or when you pick up the vehicle. This allows you one week to have your mechanic inspect the car before you take delivery.
