I inherited this beautiful car from my 85-year-old father after he passed away in January. It was his daily driver and he loved it! The only problems that he didn"t have corrected before his death are a gas gauge not working currently and a slight crack in the front drivers side lower body panel below the grill (you can"t even see it). For the gas gauge, I just zero the trip odometer when I fill up. My mechanic says this is not an expensive repair, but I"m in the process of settling my late father"s estate hundreds of miles away, and simply don"t have the time to fix the gauge. As for this particular model and it"s history, GM wanted to do something special for its famous Eldorado nameplate swan song, and elected to commemorate the occasion by manufacturing fewer than 1600 of the cars. They were painted in either White or Aztec Red, a fitting nod to the model"s origin in "53, when these were the only two colors available. The rare Aztec Red on this car is a real head-turner and is still looking great after more than 18 years. The addition of the black vinyl ELDORADO DORAL top on this model only enhances the appearance. The combination of vibrant paint, shiny rims and clear headlights will blow you away. I really cannot go anywhere without people asking me about this car! It"s not only a great looking vehicle, but a financial investment that will keep appreciating each year! The interior has a decidedly custom look to it since it"s in a special edition car - and has zero tears or discoloration. I don"t think the back seat has ever been used! Power heated buckets offer impressive adjustability and are super comfortable. The air conditioning blows nice and cold. This car includes power windows and door locks, cruise control and an AM/FM/CD/CASSETTE stereo, as well as a SIRIUS satellite radio package. The dash area is just as clean as you"d expect, given the condition of the rest of the car, and a plate mounted over the glove box serves notice of this Caddy"s special edition status . 993 of 1596 produced! Plenty of power comes from the Northstar V8 producing 300 horsepower with unexpectedly good mileage.
