Seller is the first and only owner of this rare collector car number 9 of very few Dinan Engineering S2 Z8 Conversions. Performance upgraded with the full Dinan S2 performance package, this Z8 is an ultra-high performance version of BMW"s iconic Z8 roadster. This Z8 is a single owner car that has been well-kept and maintained since new. Dinan built less than about 20 S2 Z8 roadsters at a premium of nearly $25,000 on top of the car"s $140,054 price. Dinan performance products are among the finest and most well-engineered components available for BMW cars, and the S2 package outfits this Z8 with the best that Dinan offers. Virtually every performance aspect has been upgraded starting with the naturally-aspirated 5.0L V8 that benefits from the addition of a high-flow cold-air intake system with carbon fiber air boxes, high flow throttle bodies, Dinan Stage 5 performance engine software, high-flow ceramic-coated headers and Dinan"s Free Flow performance exhaust. The 6-speed manual transmission is also upgraded with a lightweight dual-mass flywheel, and the limited slip rear end has been upgraded to 3.90 gearing. The car rolls on the original BMW wheels or a supplied set of lightweight 18" Dinan wheels. The car also includes a Dinan Stage 2 Suspension upgrade includes improved springs and larger sway bars. All said and done, this Z8 now develops 470hp/491lb-ft of torque and will pull .93g on the skidpad and touch a 170mph top speed. Taking design cues from BMW"s renowned 507 of the 1950"s,the Z8 is instantly recognizable for its unique aesthetics. The Titanium Silver Metallic paint is accentuated by the 507-inspired horizontal front grille &side vents, black head lamp housing and a black power-operated soft top. Inside the cabin, this Z8 showcases soft-grain leather upholstery, heated sport seats, auto-dimming mirrors, and unique center-mounted instrumentation.
